I do a lot of complaining about Christianity, but let's be realistic, with a few exceptions, most modern day Christians aren't really a threat to anybody. Yeah, it sucks that the Christian in the white house vetoes government funding for stem-cell research, and I'm sure that marriage-minded homosexuals could do without the Christian Morality Police beating down their door. At least the Jehova's Witness knocks ON your door, not down it.

Islam, and those that practice it, are a very real threat to the safety, security, and very lives of everyone in the world. While Christians, it seems, are content to use their religion to justify their own bigotries (ewww, men having sex! That's gross...er, the Bible says it), Islam not only allows and suggests, but DEMANDS violence be carried out.

9/11. There is NO WAY this could have happened without Islam. There is just no way. This happened because they believed (because it was written in their holy book) that they would be rewarded for murdering thousands of people.

Look at what they do to women. ALL women. Women get the shaft in the Christian and Jewish holy books too, but not anywhere NEAR to the extent that Islam does. In Islam, women aren't treated like animals, they're treated like VERMIN.

And if I hear one more person open their yap about how we should "tolerate their religious views" I am going to really lose it. Have any of these people actually looked at what these religious views ARE? Those views say that you should DIE. How can you be expected to tolerate the views that you, your family, and damn near everyone you've ever met are to be killed by Muslims? I'm not making this crap up, people!

Yeah, Islam will be a religion of peace...AFTER EVERY SINGLE NON MUSLIM has been KILLED. These aren't the "radical fundamentalist muslims," these are just the ones who've READ THE DAMNED BOOK.

Now some of you might say "I know a Muslim and he's a good friend of mine." He's doing it wrong. He's not a real Muslim. Just like people who claim to be Christians who don't go to church and have never read a version of the Bible are not real Christians.

Now, what am I suggesting? Am I suggesting that Islam be made illegal? That we find people of this "faith" and attack them? Of course not! That would be mean and just plain futile. But I think that people should know the facts about this religion, including those people who claim to practice it. I think that "The Media" needs to pull its head out of its ass and actually ask the Islamic Apologists who show up on TV after a member of Islam blows something up just where the Quaran (or Koran) says that this kind of thing is forbidden (or even frowned upon) by the book.

I see. So because they pre-date Islam, I should not call Islam on its SPECIFICALLY CALLING FOR IT? Is that what you're saying. I don't buy that. Honor killing and the mistreatment of woman may not have originated with Islam, but it's sure as hell condoned by Islam. Not, I'll grant you, in the United States, but in the Middle East it's a serious (and common) problem.

Don't point to any of the passages in the Muslim holy book calling for YOU and I to be murdered? This book is treated as LAW in parts of the world. It's treated as the LITERAL word of GOD. How can you expect any sane person to ignore that?

I can totally see where you're coming from on this one. Really. It's COMPLETELY reasonable to think that people would murder 3,000 people FOR THE GLORY OF AIRPLANES. These people killed 3,000 innocent people DIRECTLY BECAUSE OF THEIR RELIGION. This isn't speculation. THAT'S WHAT THEY SAID. They said "We are doing this for the glory of Allah." As soon as somebody brings down an office building "for the glory of Boeing," maybe you'll have a case.

Again, this isn't a tough call to make. These people, these murdering bastards, killed 3,000 people because they FULL BELIEVED it's what their God wanted them to do. He did it in accordance with Muslim Law. This has been admitted to by those who helped plan the vicious attack.

Personally, I don't think that Christians should be allowed to brainwash young children, but at least they're not blowing themselves up to kill people who believe in a different imaginary deity. The Nazis are to blame for the Holocaust, obviously. Christians DO bear responsibility for the Crusades. However, as that was centuries ago, and modern Christians tend to be a bit more subtle (excluding parts of Ireland, it seems), it's not an immediate threat to the lives of everyone else.

Muslims who fly jets into buildings, treat women like vermin, and advocate the murder of authors are not OVER-REACTING. They are FOLLOWING WHAT THE BOOK SAYS. Those who don't are the ones "perverting" Islam.

Nowhere does the Koran advocate murder of civilians.

Yep, both are terrible, and both are supported by passages from The Bible and The Koran, respectively. They didn't just make this stuff up. It's actually written in there.

209. Those who oppose Islam will face an awful doom. 16:94

I'm just passing through, but I do agree that being critical of Islam is not being racist on the grounds that Islam may be seen as being spread by certain ethinc groups, but is not an ethinic group unto itself. The school I teach at has many many Muslim students, some are of middle eastern decent and some are eastern European and soem are good ol' Americans.

i think it should be pointed out here that islam was invented by a person and absorbed and supported by the people. its flawed from the get go. dont give islam its own entity as if it came first and the followers came after.

For starters, Thank you. This post was needed. It's about time we took some time off from attacking Christians and focus upon the religion that is CURRENTLY the real threat.

Second, I have to say that I as a Christian, do not care about gay marrige. Christians in general really shouldn't care. Basically the way I see it is, we are a free country. There will be people who have bad morals (as far as Biblical morals go) and if someone wants to be gay then that is between them and God. It is not my place to judge them. They will face their judgement and that has nothing to do with me.

Third, Jehovah's witnesses are Christians. Just letting you know.

Lastly, I do have MANY Arab Muslim friends and many work aquantances, and some of them are tolerant of us but most of them are not. By tolerant I mean, they don't have the desire to kill us for not being muslim but they also don't have the desire to condemn the actions of terroism. In fact I work with a few of these guys that are down right scary. I can tell you guys stories about the things they say and what they desire for America (or the west in general) and it would make your skin crawl. These guys aren't playing around. But like Professor Smooth, I don't know what exactly to do about it other then war. The only thing we can do is fight them in their homeland and stop them from bringing the war to us. As far as the ones who have already infiltrated the US (I'm scared to think about how many are here waiting for their time to attack) I don't know what to do. We need to get after illegal aliens and get them out of the country before it's too late. Stopping illegals isn't just a ploy to get rid of Mexicans. And as far as the Arab muslims I work with, I also work with a lot of Mexicans (many of whom are illegal) and the Arab Muslims can hardly speak good enough English for you to understand them but they speak spanish like there is no tomorrow. My opinion is speaking spanish is what gets them across the border. Find the Mexican connections. Learn fluent Spanish, sneak into the US.

I see. But you made it sound like Christians and Jews currently want to kill you. That's why i said bullshit because it isn't true. It isn't in the Buble and nowhere in the Bible does it say to kill someone in the name of God because they don't believe such as the Judeo - Christian beliefs. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that. PS is correct that the Quran DOES call for the cutting off the heads of the infidels that do not believe as muslims and will not be converted. the Quran says to kill them because of their beliefs. But even so, this day and age Christians have grown beyond holy wars and the Muslims have not. They continue to attack and kill in the name of God as if it were 1000 years ago. I'm pretty sure there are both Christians and Jews that would very much like to kill everyone who isn't exactly like them. They just don't get a lot of publicity. The Middle East is a whole bundle of politics and instability and that really contributes to people wanting to kill other people. Then mix religion into it... Yeah. There's a reason you get to hear more about Islamic violence and it's not just because it's what gets reported here.

The difference being here is that on balance of Islam Vs Christian in recent years Islam is embarking upon a killing spree many many times worse, before any quotes the IRA in this, yes i know they kill people but I'm more open to that form of killing as they have a political agenda and use that as leverage.....

Islam want to kill us all as we are infidels...not much room to negotiate with that hence why i would happily carpet bomb the whole middle east.

The main problem as i see it is that you have a self maintaining herd mentality, where a couple of decades ago you had a few fanatics commiting terrorism in the name of Islam, it seems the majority who believes in Islamic teachings condones this behaviour to some degree and do nothing to protest against this, as such this behaviour gets perpetuated through generations and Muslim society to the point where people believe this is what they should be thinking and the religious indoctrination is complete.

Banning Islam is one, and so far the only effective way (IMHO) to stop this as it has got to the point where cutting off the snakes head is the only way to kill the body. No amount of negotiation can reason with fanatics who are brainwashed by a load of bullshit writen in a book thinking it is telling them we all should die, as they can't exactly call Allah up and ask him his/her opinions if what their doing is right, the fanatics opinions will never be swayed.

I don't really care if this comes across as racist, having lived in the UK and seen the 7/7 attacks and heard muslims saying what a good thing it was that innocent people were killed....all in the name of Islam makes me despise them and their culture, we brits and other nations have been way too tolerant in our stance on this and all it has resulted in is further violence, as such the only option left is one of fighting fire with fire.
