It's been an interesting journey.....

BUT I'M OFFICIALLY NOW ADDICTED!!! Since I first decided to delve back into Transformers near the end of August, I've collected all of the movies including the G1 movie, I've watched nearly all of G1 (I'm in season 4 now and I need a decent version of Head Masters next in Japanese with subtitles preferably). I have started and gotten a decent starter collection of Transformers comics from DW and IDW, I have the Transformers Devastation game, and I now own 19 figures, most of them Titans Return. I play Transformers Earth Wars as well, I enjoy much fan art, fan movies, and am in several groups on Facebook. Yup...I'm ADDICTED and there's no way I can stop now. I have tons on my wish list.....gosh. It may take a long time to get all the bots and cons I want.

We got another one.
Seriously though, good to read about new fans getting into the hobby. You picked a good time, the toys are getting better, and you can't go wrong with the DW comics. Unfortunately they didn't stay in print for long, but it wasn't due to the source material. As for video games, I'm only a casual gamer, and I enjoyed War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron more than Devastation, but none of them beat the play value of the Armada game for PS2 from 2004. But that might be a little too far back for you. I wish that game got an update to a new console. Anyway, keep up the collecting and don't worry you won't run out of stuff to collect, whether it's toys, comics or TV series.

Thanks Rodimus! Actually, I tend to play a lot of older video games, so PS2 isn't old for me. I already planned to get War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron on XBox 360, but thanks for mentioning the Armada game. I'll have to pick that one up too. Most of my comics are Armada, and I accidentally bought doubles ( because I couldn't remember if I had them already). I like the differences between the Armada cartoon and the comics. The comics explain a few things that the cartoon doesn't, and I like how the Mini-cons actually feel more like characters that matter in the comic, versus the cartoon where they just seem like Pokemon or something.

I've never read the comics for Armada, but Micron Legend (in my opinion) was much more enjoyable and far more clear on the story than the Armada cartoon. Karyuudo Fansubs 狩人ファンサブ did a great sub of this if you're interested in checking it out.
