^that theory sounds about right. But that's the in-universe theory. When characters communicate indirectly, it is more effective to the audience. It shows that they have a strong connection, and don't need to have a conversation to get their point across.

I'm glad you brought this up (and my next comment isn't directed at you, it's a general comment, so I apologize if you take offense, none meant.)

After seeing the trailers, commercials, and whatnot...I have to agree with my dad, this is not TFs for kids. I have a feeling kids are gonna be pretty scared, or dumb enough to try and imitate what they see on screen.

It's a shame most parents won't get that, and they'll bring little Bobby, or little Susie, and then on the car ride home, they'll wonder why Bobby or Susie looks like someone told them their puppy died.

Of course some children are more mature than others and those kids should do just fine, but if you know your kid can't handle it or you don't think they can...here's two ideas:

1.) Don't take them to see it. What's the point of mentally scarring your kid? Stuff like this can stay with them a long time. I'm still freaked out by Alien, etc.

2.) Go and see it yourself first. Get an idea of what will happen and if you feel it's too much, don't bring them, or cover their eyes when you know something intense is coming up.

I fear that we'll see a lot of parents bitching and complaining about it being too violent, etc. Well, it's your job as their parent to make sure it's suitable for them. Hell, it's rated PG-13 (13 and up!)
NOTE: Realize that I am not a perfect Christian, nor do I profess to be. I apologize if anyone's ever offended by me, I'm not perfect. Don't hold my posts and opinions against other Christians.

Shut. The hell. Up.

How about a child that's mother gets beaten, or is abused themselves? Do you think THEY would be a little more sensitive to violence? Or what about kids with mental disabilities? How do you think those kids will respond when they see their favorite transformer being torn in half? I don't think they'll like it.

(following comment is directed to all ppl)

Of course, some kids are more mature than others, but if you are a good parent and KNOW your child isn't mature enough to see a movie, then don't take them. That's the problem with movie/game censorship. Bad Parenting. Parents don't know how mature thier kid is and don't know if their kid can't handle certain material.

This definately does not need to turn into a parenting topic and who are you to tell him to shut up, he is partially right you know. If one can't infer from the trailer that this is going to be a movie about warring robots then you'r not to bright anyways. I was a kid when aliens and predator and pee we herman were around, and trust me that is all scarier stuff.

That has nothing to do with it. I'm just trying to get across that some kids shouldn't see this movie.

That's far enough boys.

Salazaar, there was no need to respond to primalVICTORY's post that way. You could have gotten the point through just as well without the "Shut the hell up" bit. Shadowman, please don't add fuel to the fire. There would be an enormous amount of angry people chasing after you if you burnt down the forums.

I apologize. I didn't mean for the thread to get derailed, or turn into this.

And my whole point was, parents need to do their job, period. Not whether or not one's doing it better than another.

And as it was said, if you can't tell from the trailer that this isn't for kids, then you need to get your bolts tightened.

I agree. Parents are responsable for their kids. The trailers indicate that movie is very violent and the rating furthers that conclusion. If some parent takes their five year old to the film and then complains, guess what?

I think it should be the parent's fault for taking them. Do your research!

just forget it! some kids wont see the movie, some will. some may get frightened. thats fine. they will get over it. now just forget about it! its not like we're gonna get scared or sumthing, so why we talking about little kids that arent us..(besides the fact that sum of you may be parents).

but this is way off topic. soooo, this topic has really nothing left to talk about..we have pointed out several times that jazz does indeed die. now we all know, and we all did b4, but 21 pages later, we're still going at pointless stuff. we good? alright!

i forgot to get into this in my last post because it didnt fit the bill..

but BB not being able to talk in this movie is because of what megatron did is borderline retarded....with all the nano capabilities of the bots in this movie...i find it mind blowing that he couldnt have fixed his voice box in the time it took him to fly to earth.

Say what you want, but it does seem suspect that the only Autobot to be referred to as "black" just happened to be the one that's gonna buy it.
I mean why not Ironhinde. Being that he's Optimus's "best friend" it'd have a more dramatic effect.

I refuse to believe Ratchet is unable to build Bumblebee some sort of voice box. If we can produce marginally capapble voice modulators, surely the Cybertronians can, especially if they have such technology that allows them to transcan.

Leaked scripts don't mean squat. I have no doubt they didn't stick to it completely. In Batman, Robert Whul's character Knox, was supposed to die, according to the script. And there was no cathedral scene. And the Joker wasn't originally the Wayne's murderer. I'm not saying Jazz ain't gonna go, I'm just saying don't rely on the script matching the movie.
