Job Training Program Is A Big Pain

Postby Bartmanhomer » Thu Aug 16, 2007 5:21 pm

How anyone ever been to a job training program that is very immature for you. Because I'm in a job training program at Mount Sinai and trust me on this. The clients are acting like little kids.

The clients sleep in groups. They don't show up in the program most of the time. They sometimes argue. Most of the clients are completely unstable. And the age group are like what 18 and over and they act like a newborn child.

Let me guess. The people in the program are intellectually disabled or are mentally unstable right? Im guessing by the description you have given here. You sound far too intelligent to be there, you poor thing. No-one should be treated like you are.

Actually it's both. Only a few clients that know how to act their own age. And you're right about that I'm just too advanced at that type of program. I rather studied to get GED and go to college than go to that job training program. I'm metally disabled myself but I act very mature compare to the rest of consumers in the program. I have been to that mudball program for 14 months and I have to deal with these pre-mature clients in that place. I just can't wait I'm out of that place.

Dude, these people in this group have way too much help, compared to other conditions *cough Autism Spectrum Disorder cough*. But I won't get started on that sucks.

Have you told them that you want to do that or is they say you can't(in other words saying we can't be bothered, it might involve some work). There is assistance things out there to help you archive this.

No offense but you sound like you are borderline mild mental disabled(just under the average IQ but not that much) to me.Really that's nothing compared to the others in this group you talk of. So you could get your GED and college degree. Well I think you could.

None taken. I did take the GED by the last 2 months and I got my results by a couple of weeks later. Unfortunately I pass 2 out of 5 subjects, which I actually failed the three subjects. All I know that I'm studied the failed GED subject and by the time I pass all my subjects. I'm out of this dumphole for good.

At least you could do those exams again and pass them. That's not so bad.
Homer: I can tell that these other people in this group sound that they are really disabled, they really creep me out. There are just some people you can't train anyway no matter what you do. Better to lock them away so you can't see em.

You're telling me. There are so many clients in my program who've been through so much. Some of them have been through jail, some of them are former drug addicts, some of them have been through psych wards and some of them been through other job training program that doesn't seem to be fitted for them. I'm telling you Elita One, this type of program is definately not for me.

Like I said, that program is too unstable for me. I might as well get my GED and leave that place. I'm pretty sure there some other job training place that right for me.

Thanks for the thumbs up. By the time when I pass my GED. I'm going to register to college. Leave that dump and find a better job training program.

Congrats for getting the internship. I wish I was so lucky. I can't even get a job doing nightfill at the supermarket. I dress nicely for the group interview, there were people at it who were dressed badly imo, do everything they asked to the absolute best I can and get nowhere.

I know what I did wrong: I was honest and disclosed my condition (Aspergers Syndrome) some people don't consider that a condition.Don't consider my resume and all the stuff Ive done on it.

So it looks like Im still a burden on the Australian payer. Ive been that for way too long. Yes taxpayers pay for my TF's . Well they pay for Weavingtron and his mates arty farty ****, what's the difference. Unlike them I go by the Welkertron way: Hard work and not getting things handed to you for the sake of it.

Sorry for the rant in your thread mate, but you understand what Im going through.
