LEGO Bionicle Transformers

Postby Eyckzim » Mon Jun 27, 2016 1:48 am

Hello all, this is my first post here, but I still hope you'll like what I've got to show everyone. I've been building fully-functional transforming robots out of LEGO Technic, Bionicle, and Hero Factory pieces for several years, and finally decided I should share some of my work with all the other enthusiasts out there like me. Anyway, I've started posting video walkthroughs of the different characters I've come up with, and will continue to post more as my time permits. I welcome any feedback anybody has on my character designs or my Lego builds. I hope that transformers fans can appreciate the thought I put into my transformations, too, regardless of whether or not you're into LEGO.
I've got two videos up right now, and I'll link them below:
Decepticon Obliterator

Autobot Downforce

*Edit* Sorry the links weren't there at first, I am posting this from my phone and kind of depressing when I initially submitted the post. Everything should be working fine now though! ;)

Really like what you've done there - great custom jobs. Watched em both and subscribed. How long does it take to design one of these?

Wow, that's awesome to hear! Thanks so much for subscribing! It's quite flattering to hear from someone else out there that they like my work. It can be hard to find people in everyday life who really "get it".
The designing process can really vary in length. Simpler designs like Downforce and, to a Obliterator can take anywhere from around 5-8 hours to design and construction. More complicated designs, however, can take many days of work to get just right. I think the longest cumulative time spent building for a single one of my transformers was around 20hours.

No problem - definitely want this kind of crafting to be encouraged. I never would have guessed Obliterator would qualify as a simple design, I'll keep an eye out for more in the future.

If you want to see something more complicated, my latest video should be satisfying

This one's named WireWolf. He's the fighter of his Autobot team, charging into battle with just his trusty emerging cutlass in hand

Nice! That is a very poseable figure. Love the flex in the legs.
