I turst you already have this image to work off of correct, not JUST the bot?

After this is done Someone MUST make Shockwave, and the Insecticons.

Yeah I do have that pic. ALthough I will say that there are a few inconsistancies between the two pics. I've found that I've had to taken a little creative liscense here and there. Still it's working out really well.

Mind Pointing out the "inconsistancies" Looking at the Bot and the Train, It looks pretty straight foreward?
Boiler become the chest, his head folds out the back.
His front end (smoke stakes) hide his arms, for which his hands pop out of the forearms.
his legs extend, feet fold out.
I dont know, Looks pretty simple.

I think that's the magic of good animation magic -- it makes any issues not seem like issues at all. Some aren't really inconsistencies but more "how the heck does that work?" as well as proportions that don't quite fit the mechanics or just questions that will probably have to be resolved in one way or other. I think they all can be, though.
* The 4 driving wheels are both under his shins in bot mode, but half under his shin plate and another under his back plate in alt mode.
* The smokebox (those shells over his shoulders) doesn't really have a large enough internal space to fit his arms. His biceps could slide down into his forearms. And his fists could slide up into his forearms (at least on his left arm, though not on his right with the way they're drawn =). But they wouldn't both be able to fit in the forearm at the same time, unless the bicep compresses itself somehow. The forearms could fold over the biceps but then they become too thick instead of too long.
* When the smokestack opens to form his shoulder shells, there are two cylindrical pieces of metal in the sides of the boiler that look like they both rotate towards the head area. If so, they would likely collide with each other if symmetric.
* It looks more like the head hatch flips open as a hinge, while the head itself springs up out of the boiler. Those interior cylindrical pieces would also collide or block this off.
* At least one side of the boiler has a hatch that the right shoulder shell would run into when transforming.
* Are the shoulder shells connected to the arms which are connected to the chest? Or are the arms connected to the shoulder shells which are connected to the chest? The former makes more sense if they aren't both connected.
* When those shoulder shells form the smokebox of the alt mode, where do his pelvis and thighs go? The things don't look like they slide down into the legs based on the joints, even though that's the only volume that has space for them, unless they slide up behind his back. The thighs might be able to fold down in a "kneeling" like move and inside the legs if they opened up, though some of the knee joint's details would have to change from those reference pics too.
I think HoS Bumblebee is definitely one of the easier designs though, because most of these issues are due to surface details, and because Primus_Feather is right in that the major subassemblies of him all do go together pretty simply. Can't wait to see what Deathknell comes up with!

Kinda slow right now. We're closing in on the end of the school year and I'm pretty tied up with my students tests, final projects etc. I did a little bit of work on the main body and arms tonight. Nothing really ready to post yet. I'm still working on the details.
I plan to get at least the arms and main body skinned out this week. If time permits. Hopefully I'll have something for ya later this week.

Actully yes there has been some progress...been a crazy few months...Buying a house etc. etc. etc. He's packed up at the moment with all my TF stuff. Basically I finally got the legs and waist to work right. The last thing I was working on was working out the upper torso. That's when I had to pack him up to get ready to move and set up my new work space. I promise I'll get a whole new set of update pics soon.
