I need to get the cardstock and the time. When I do, I'll let everyone know how difficult it was and post pics.

Cardstock? What's that? Is it necessary to use that specific paper? Can we use ordinary colored paper?

You're deemed "Innocent" by the Quintessonian Court. :P

The verdict is innocent,
The sentence is death!

Cardstock is basicly just coloured card. You'll find various weights of cardstock at most stationers, anything that'll go through a printer should be fine. I'd recommend using card rather than paper, unless yo were doing a dry run first, since the finished model wouldn't be overly sturdy otherwise.

What's the punishment/reward for guilty verdict?

Is this colored card thing of size 8.5x11 inches? Same as Letter? Or is it the small index card size?

If i use alternative papers/cards, any idea of the proper thickness/grade of paper?

You'll want to pick up something at an A4 size (that's standard sheet size in the UK, I presume that it's an international standard as well) as that's the page size that the PDFs are designed to print to.

We have A4 in the US as well. It isn't used as much but most printers do have a setting for it, and you can also set the printer setting on the computer for A4.

I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this thread to see if anyone actually gets around to making these -- short of actually finding a head replacement for Rescue Ratchet, I've been considering making him a paper facemask of sorts from parts of this model. :-?

Anyway, good luck to those of you that try this -- in the past I've found making paper toy models to be extremely time-consuming and frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend using sturdier stuff like cardstock at all (maybe it was just for me, but that stuff did not want to stay stuck). I had a comparatively positive experience using photo paper (slightly stiffer, but flimsy enough to work with easily) to make paper Daleks back before Character Options released 5" versions en masse. :P

I was thinking of using photo paper too. Glossy one. And printing the color into it. This will give it a bit of a shine.

Never thought about glossy photopaper. It definitely would make it shine more like real metallic parts.
