Menasor- question...

Weapon: Liquid Flame-Thrower

A little while ago I was getting annoyed at the two Menasor figures (Legends and Titanium)that were single robots with a truck alt mode, instead of combiners. But yesterday I finally got round to reading the character description for Titanium Menasor, and it says that his combiner team was fused into one form. Does this belong to any specific fiction, or was it just put in to explain the BotCon toy?

It was put in mainly to explain the botcon toy, but it does sound like something that'd actually happen to the crazy behemoth :wink:
