Personally, I'm kinda sitting on the fence. There's some things he did cool, but I wish he stuck to the source material a bit better(probably didn't help that Hasbro didn't care to stick to the source material, either). I'm still hoping that this will be a good movie, & the more I see, the more I think it'll be about right.

), you can't please everyone. They've listened to the fans at points, but it's never enough. There are too many varying opinions to please everyone. A lot of people wanted Frank Welker, some wanted David Kaye, some wanted someone else. You can't make all of those people happy at once, it's not feasible, so they have to go for the mass market approach. I want the best possible thing too, but I'd just like to see a bit more logic about this process.
And there are examples of movies that didn't follow their source material to any amount that are considered classics, such as James Whale's "Frankenstein," Kubrick's "The Shining," and the Weismueller version of "Tarzan the Ape Man."
