I like TR Hot Rod but some aspects of him bug me such as the shoulders which look strange to me cos they join onto the arms higher than his chin is and that the arms are too far apart from the torso. So I popped the arms off, took a scalpel and sliced away at the underneath of the orange joints so they could fold downwards much more and sliced a bit into the grey of the torso to allow for it, and sliced a bit into the top of each arm's socket. I'm much happier with the figure now. Ok his already slightly too long arms now reach almost down to his knees but as a whole it's better than before and it's rare I'll have his arms perfectly straight down anyways (and even so it looks fine). Plus it means his spoiler (which is a bit too low in robot mode) is a lil more visible cos before the high shoulders blocked it too much.

Now awaiting the next Reprolabels update which I hope will include stickers for Hot Rod particularly to fix the contrast issue of his chest. Why Hasbro picked a yellow for the flame so close to the orange of his chest so that it's hard to see I don't know.

Was asked for a comparison pic so figured I should post it here. Basically on the left side of the pic is where the shoulders are positioned on figure originally. On the right side of the pic (his left arm) shows the shoulder modded so you can fit the arm down almost touching his torso. Obviously where you lift the arm up it twists sideways cos of the joint's shape so you can just pull it back out a little to straighten the arm. Either way I like this a lot more than it was originally.
