Wow! I can't believe it! Jose Lima was a fun, energetic guy. I can't beleive he's gone. I hate to say it, but I would not rule out a suicide here...he was so emotional he may have just gotten frustrated with life.

RIP Lima-time.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Can I just say that Roy Halladay is really, really good?

THanks. Don Larsen, scoot down the bench bro. You have company.

Had to go back and look at what I wrote, but yeah. Honestly it's pretty easy. The Yankees will always attempt to purchase their title until MLB wises us and lays down a salary cap- it sure hasn't hurt any of the other three leagues... THe Phillies will win the title though...they are the most balanced team in the playoffs. I'm stunned at Tampa though...looks like the injuries finally caught up with them.

Looking for a Phillies-Rangers World Series. And I am a Cliff Lee fan since he was in Cleveland, so go Rangers! I do like the Phillies as well, but not if they face the Rangers.

Yes! Cliff Lee did it! Now, hopefully the Rangers can beat the Yankees and go to the World Series. I really want to see Lee get a ring. He deserves it.

As for Brooks Conrad...hopefully he's accepted the fact that he'll be a minor leaguer for life, especially after what happened against the Giants. Not because I feel bad for Bobby Cox, he was long overdue to retire anyway, but because committing 3 errors in a playoff game puts a player into Buckner territory.

I like Buckner, BTW. F**k the Redsox.

In Conrad's defense, he was playing out of position. I feel sorry the guy. Imagine almost single handedly eliminating your team from the championship hunt...horrible feeling, I'd bet. I liked Bobby Cox...liked his style. He was an amazing manager.

I am now a Texas Ranger fan. Would be nice to see them win it...they are the only team of the four to not have a title.

...of course that means they aren't going to, but I'll still pull for them.

Heck, I'm from Dallas and the only reason I'm rooting for the Rangers is because they're the only local team with their act together.

Trust me, It's a sad day in Dallas when the Rangers are the team doing the best job...

Definitely pulling for the Rangers...I love it when a franchise wins big for the first time. I loved when the Saints won their first last year, and hopefully Texas will do the same!

If you'd told me at the beginning of the season that the Giants would win the World Series, I would have said "No effing way!"...then I would have said, "Well as long as it isn't the Yankees...".

One by one, these long World Series streaks are ending...Red Sox, White Sox, Giants...

...WHEN IS THE CUBS' TURN DAMNIT!!??!?!?!?

Cognrats to the Giants...it was a great run.

That was just great pitching on the Giants' part. I mean, the offense did its job, but they completely neutralized the Rangers bats, especially in Arlington. They deserved that title.

As for long streaks of LOSER, you're right, there's none worse than the Cubs. It'll be 103 years with next season. The Indians are second, I believe, with 63 years next season. Still not as bad as the Ratcox with their 86 years.
F**k Boston. Buckner is god.

BTW, on which side do the Sox and the Cubs play? I know one plays on the North side the other on the South side...

SO, Philly fans...how happy are you today? Very interesting article on Yahoo, talking about how Cliff Lee spurned more money and years from the Yankees to play elsewhere. Never thought I'd see the day...phenomenal. It's nice to see someone for whom the money really isn't the deciding factor.

BTW, Philadelphia's starting rotation is just sick. Best rotation I've seen since Smoltz/Glavine/Maddux in the 90's. Boston-Philly in the Fall Classic 2011, anyone?
