Eradicator wrote:Some of you may have read my topic that dealt with the problems I have with Verizon Fios. I had called Verizon's customer service tos ee what it was all about. Just a quick rerun:
1. Takes a ages for laptop to connect to router
2. TV is fuzzy
3. Internet is VERY slow
4. Xbox Live works poorly with it
5. Phone is fuzzy
6. Router is FRIGGING huge and takes up way to much room
7. In order for the router to even connect to the laptop, it needs to be at a high area, something I really can't do
Their answer (or what it mine as well have been): Deal with it.
They basically said that this is how Fios is, and I should buy a better antennae for the router. I went to a few places, and they told me no such thing (for Verizon routers) exist. WTF?
I am seriously dissopointed with this bullshit. All the reviews I have read indicated it was awesome. Michael Bay, you were WRONG.
So now I am in a bit of a predicament. Do I:
1. Complain to Verizon and demand better service
2. Cancel Fios and pay $200 penalty
3. Complain and cancel, demand cancellation without penalty
4. Get Comcast Triple Play
BTW, not to mention after about half a year my free HD TV STILL isn't here...

See if you can access the router and change the wireless settings to a more powerful signal.
2. TV is fuzzy
Call them back ask for a supervisor and ask them if he can send a technician to check if all the splices are bonded "grounded" this is very important especially for the t.v. to work properly without pixelation or macroblocking.
3. Internet is VERY slow
May have something to do with your computer. What speed did you purchase?
4. Xbox Live works poorly with it.
5. Phone is fuzzy
Legitimate problem. Tell them you have static on line. Tell them Either of the 2 splitters you have at your MPOE could be bad.
6. Router is FRIGGING huge and takes up way to much room
Not much you can do about that.
7. In order for the router to even connect to the laptop, it needs to be at a high area, something I really can't do.
That's not true. It shouldn't matter where it is as long as it's not enclosed in lead.
Their answer (or what it mine as well have been): Deal with it.
Your answer "I will call the PUC" Public utility commision.
Also see if you can get credit back for no HD
