I tried getting more info to judge whether this is accurate or not. I'd like to believe him, but I can't say either way. Looks like a fun list to be sure!

There are a bunch of names there that we've been expecting though

Hardhead, Trailcutter, Dinobot(hopefully +s), Reflector.

I'm all for keeping this open as a speculation thread.

Should I call this one of those "too good to be true" moments on this?

This is a proposed list of what we may be seeing in the Universe line. It may be legit, it may not be. Time will tell.

Regardless some of them would be really exciting to glimpse, especially if there was even more than just speculation to go on.
Classics style Hardhead and Highbrow would be awesome, even more so if they turned out to be headmasters.

I was all ready to say "Hasbro won't make Headmasters in a deluxe!" and then remembered that Cyclonus got his Targetmaster...so who knows. There are some interesting names there. Some would likely be repaints as well, but that's expected. Of course without any info to back up this list I could make some half-assed guesses but I'm sure there's probably already a thread for that.

I'm gonna assume that MV is for Movie. SO what would these be?

Regardless if the list is legit or not, I like it. I would LOVE 40 new molds for Generations, but pretty sure that's not what Hasbro was hinting at last weekend. I'm sure it's gonna have some repaints.

What would be rather interesting for this line: reissues and non-Classics figures.

Classics started in 2006, and it would be great for a lot of folks to have access to certain older figures they may have missed. Or even a chance to do-over some of the original figures with mod fixes. We see a lot of names on there that are just iconic to the brand, like OPTIMU(S) and STARSC(REAM). We also see names of figures we haven't gotten yet, like REFLEC(TOR) and TWINTW(IST). I'm all for a few reissues, whether straight reproduction or with some changes, but also want to finish the Classics/G3 line.

Other possibilities are new molds for some of the names that were already released. Not sure we need that right now.

Finally, what if "Generations" really went the extra step, and started pulling from different lines? Those Movieverse figures we've been wanting? What about Animated? AEC? I'd welcome these in the new Generations line-up.

I never understood why people get off on lying in this nature. I get doing prank calls and things, but what is the point of this? Reminds me of the "my uncle works at the..." or whatever blah blah rumor mill. Like as a kid people knew all these ways to get mew in pokemon "no, I know a guy at nintendo, it's true" I never believed them, nor did any of my friends. This isn't even subtle, it's just an obvious blatant lie. We're laughing at you TC, not with you.

Clearly he's trolling you. He's taking advantage of Hasbro's "We have 40 Generations figs planned" thing to create his own list. Seems like he is making it look like Wallmart listings, but how would these be found in a store database when hasbro has not even confirmed the information!

I agree completely. I mean, ANY list this early is gonna seem sketchy. But the mods left it here, so maybe there's some possible merit to it they can't mention. If the 40+ figs in Generations is really what Hasbro wants to do, then I assume SOMEONE knows who they are planning on making. It's not unprecedented, is it? I dunno. And just like DOTM, these could be planned, and then some never make it out (which would totally suck in some of these cases).

I wouldn't discount the list JUST because it's fanwanky and it has exactly 40. The dude is obviously going for a theme with "Nostradamus" and playing on "40" which is a big prophetic number in the bible and other works. Maybe he either can't or chose not to reveal more than that to stick with his theme.

And the fanwanks? I mean, did people not believe Reveal the Shield and Generations were coming out when they saw those lists (assuming there were lists)? It's not like Hasbro doesn't release lots of figures fans want.

Not saying the list seems 100% legit, but those don't seem like really good reasons to discount it. I guess I just want to be optimistic because it's a really fun list to mull over.

The real Nostradamus never predicted anything. He made vague statements that contained enough generic symbolism ("the eagle and bear will fight on the mountaion", etc.) to guarantee that eventually something would happen that could be interpreted as fitting his "prediction".

That's an interesting point and Hasbro is well aware that a lot of the fans that have come into fandom since the success of the movies are dying for the original/hard to get Classics figures. Aside from some of the ones pointed out already what about:

TF VOY INFERN

Inferno wasn't the easiest figure to get. Maybe we're getting another release of him with a ladder? Also it seems like a lot of effort for Hasbro to make new heads and even use them for the instructions only to not release figures. I mean that's just easy money for them to release a figure with a single new part, head, and new colors. Why not bring out all those repaints they've been hinting at all this time? Also I wonder if those are hints of a Frenzy/Rumble two pack in there too. Again the mold is done why not use it for a 2-pack that fans will eat up.

Also 2014 is going to be a big year... TF4 plus the 30th anniversary. Maybe this will lead into a big line for the 30th. 30 years... man I feel old.

You know guys, instead of being negative and criticising, do what some of you have done and go through the list, pick out a name and discuss it.

It's our decision to leave this thread open because of the potential for discussion, but if all people are going to do is criticise and be negative, then that's what is going to get it locked.

Yeah, the source hasn't been verified but both Mkall and myself have had things explained to us and we're happy with that. The thread will stay open as long as things are kept civil and on track.

TF VOY DINOBO - Dinobots. 2-3 of them in a pack? Or "Dinobot Grimlock" perhaps?
