- Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
Anything Bourne.
(Don't get me wrong, Damon was quite impressive in the role and the action sequences were top notch. The story was boring and plodded along.)
Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy.
(Will Ferrell is just absolutely unfunny when he tries to act. He was great on SNL when stupid was the key, but this movie was just terrible. Other than the cast singing Afternoon Delight, the rest of the film was a train wreck. It truly is a shame because the same guys worked on The 40 Year Old Virgin and even with all of the extremely tasteless humor (which I still found funny), it's a terrific film.)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
(Series. I could never get into it, not even once. I did, however, really enjoyed the crap out of the Kristy Swanson/Donald Sutherland film. I found it absolutely hilarious.)
Alien(s) (any incarnation, really.)
(Beyond the gore bothering me, these films just weren't my cup of tea. I understand why they work for the masses, but they just didn't hit any of the high points for me. If I wasn't grossed out, I was bored.)
TransFormers The Movie 1986.
(I bought the 2-Disc anniversary set for nostalgia and the special features. I hate the film itself. It's a ridiculous trainwreck of a mess. When I see the quality of TransFormers: Animated...I just can't believe they went for the easy route of mindless stupidity for big bucks. Glad it flopped like it did. I loved it as a kid, but hate it now. Goes to show that kids (at least in my generation) had a terrible time differentiating between actual entertainment and crap.)
Adam Sandler's early films.
(Happy Gilmore was so dumb that it had to come up some just to hit "decade old braindead cadaver" on the meter. Billy Madison just made me want to go homicidal on my TV. It's odd...Big Daddy, The Wedding Singer, Bulletproof, etc proved he could be funny and act and not be a complete moron. He really should strive for that more often.)
The Lord OF The Rings.
(I haven't been that bored in quite some time. Heck, I was able to get through a Harry Potter film, and I couldn't even sit through this dreck. Sure, it's a literary masterpiece and it's loved by a huge following, but the whole thing just SUCKS to me. I care nothing about the characters, it plods along, and it's one of the only movie franchises in recent history that was able to make me FALL ASLEEP.)
Harry Potter.
(Another borefest. A friend of mine talked me into watching one of the movies with her (that's 2.5 hours of my life that I won't be able to get back.) and I regret every second of it. It was absolutely draining to me. I was sapped of all my energy by the time it was over. I had a terrible time driving home. I had enough energy left to crawl into bed and fall asleep. I hated it that bad.)
I could go on and on, but there's so many movies (and franchises) that I hate, that I can't even remember all of them offhand.
Oh, one more. The Incredibles.
(Everyone seemed to love this film and raved about it. I found it to be terrible and I can't even watch it. It was one of the reasons I had hated Disney with a passion, but thanks to movies like Monsters Inc, Cars and the absolutely incredible Enchanted...Disney's okay with me. Especially after Enchanted. A great film. Don't miss it.)
