Mine had the exact same problem out of the box too. If you try to pose it with legs apart and feet turned, it won't stand up at all. I've already contacted BBTS about it and hope I'll have better luck with an exchanged figure.

What a buzzkill though; really wanted this figure to rock, especially with the $250 price tag! I don't care where this figure is produced-Takara shouldn't allow their MP line to suffer this many QC issues! If they can't assure these figures will continue to be great, they should discontinue the line.

I was about to post in defense of this figure because it really is terrific. Not nearly as bad as the problems with the first Rodimus. Even so, at $200+ I expect the figure to not be broken in two places within a day.

The hinge on Roller could have been designed better. Mine feels like it's going to break if rotate the back the full extent.

Version 2 in the making? So its the early adopters who get burned?

This QC sh*t is not surprising, this happened with the Yamato 1/60 Valkyrie release with the Valkyries shoulder pins busting out open because some idiot in the manufacturing plant( or is it in the design process(?)) inserted the pin that mounts the shoulder together with the curled part and all. The pin used should had been one without the curled part. Yamato had to do some damage control and send out replacement parts.

On another front, this happened too in video game consoles

1. PSOne (multiple region use and overheats easily).
2. PS2(the Japanese SCPH 10000 had some limited multiple dvd region playback which was later shelved)and said to over heat easily.
3. Xbox Japanese version easily scratches discs(the USA ver. had over sized controllers and a separate dvd playback do hickey(eventually included in later sets.
4. Xbox360 had RROD and limited HD size.
5. PS3 overpriced, backward compatible( shelved later), low HD size and lots of features which was eventually shelved to lower the price.

Using both the Yamato Valkyrie and the video game console analogy (I'm a gamer too), I'm not really surprised that in their zeal to recoup their bottom line, these corporations always make the big fall down and go boom!

I've been lucky I guess. The only issue I seem to have is that his legs don't always like to stay tabbed together in truck mode, but I can usually get them to stay pretty well with a bit of fidgeting, and the trailer holds them together anyway due to the way it connects to the truck. No issues at all in bot mode, though the feet do move somewhat easily, he has no problems standing up, even when I pose him with his legs bent at the knees and angled out.

It's the same size as RotF leader Prime, not nearly as complex in transformation or design, it's taken 25+ years to get the design right and it costs four times as much. Oh wait, it does have a couple of bits of chrome. Maybe that's where the extra money went.

And Starscream... they're charging twice the original price for a retool even though they've got four paint schemes out of the first version and will manage at least three out of this one.

Just got my MP-10. Awesome as it is (looks like a cross between the anime and MP-01). But I need to ask if anyone encountered this issue

On his foot(the clear plastic with patterns that looks like his rear lights?) Are yours properly aligned?

I don't have a picture but my version has the small square facing right( on both feet)I kind of think one should face right while the other should be left.

In MP-01, those parts were colored red and yellow.

I just checked mine. The pattern are mirror images; what I mean is, one of the squares face left while the other faces right.

You guys might have discovered yet another QC issue with MP-10.

I believe that whoever is talking about QC issue with MP lines made in China or other asian regions will definately not work at $1 dollar or even less per hour.
The problem is not that Chinese factories can not make them good quality but takara/harsbro is not willing to compromise to any profit margin cut and pay those poor workers a liitle bit more and allow them to concentrate on what they are producing.

Oh well. It is such a minor thing that I'm not concerned about it.

I received mine and the right index fingertip fell off, but I was able to resolve that by squeezing the pieces that hold it in together more securely, and it has not sown an inclination to fall off since; I will be watching it though, as well as the left one. otherwise no issues, and I am very happy with him. even my wife agreed he's cool- her favorite part is the trailer

It's very easy to knock the fingers off when moving them. I wouldn't recommend squeezing those hinge parts often though. You'll snap them.

Not true, the changes are present on the Hasbro version, as well as different elbows. MP-09 v2 uses the Hasbro changes but goes back to the v1 elbows, which are less prone to flop around. Never heard of this hybrid version... Also pretty sure the MSRP of MP-09 v2 is pretty close to v1, just that BBTS majorly discounted v1 because it sucks.

I wish Takara would do that, the replacement parts...but knowing them, we overseas fans would still get screwed because they wouldn't offer it to us.

(Also some of the early G1s were made in Japan, I believe. )
