Ok...for the last few days the legs I made were REALLY bothering me...

So last night I put my new plan into action.

I was up till 9am this morning making these but I think it was worth it.

Now, instead of a pannel that flips out to allow the legs to transform (See original legs for referance) i made Knee pads that slide forward to allow the leg peices to move and transform and I plan to make a better placed smaller pannel that flips down. (As opposed to the side like the last set of legs)

I also made the lower legs a bit wider this time around and it's better structured to simulate real leg formations.

Anyhoo, here's the last update untill he's fully finnished. He's basicly done from the waist up..I just need to finnish these new pair of "Boots" details and then paint them.

Trust me....they looks and feel alot better now.

is something going inside the new leg for robot mode or will the screws in the knee's hold all the weight

I just thought of something, are you doing anything to keep the screws locked in place so that frequent transforming won't loosen them?

What?? The screws are there only for the knee cap to move so it can transform in alt mode.

The upper legs haven't even been connected yet...

It was just made that way so the caps move and allow the legs to fold down through the open space in the loxer leg...

The screws weren't overly tightened and the hole they go through first before being screwed into the legs was actually widened so the screw doesn't effect transformation.

The screws don't touch the hindge but are imbeded into the leg...

Yea, and I'm ganna give him a voice chip with personality and ask him to bare my children too.

And no, I'm not finnished with time to spare. I still need to finnish MP Menasor before Botcon as well.

But all kidding aside, It would be cool to not only have that light up but his Chest peice as well but alas, I don't want to hack him up again just to add a gimmic.

I hate it when gimmics are used to sell toys. Really, how long does a gimmic really hold anyone's interest? A day, maybe two?

Sorry. Not worth it IMO.

But thanks again for all the great comments guys. Look for a full gallery before or durring Botcon time. That's when this baby will really be unvailed.

MP Menasor isn't ganna be in the custom figure catagory.

It's ganna be in the Diorama Catagory.
