Ah, that I did not know. That eases the pain a little. I still don't like this figure though.

We don't know yet if named Insecticons are bosses or elite mooks yet.

I personally don't see what's so wrong with FoC Kickback. I think the G1 Insecticon design is a bit dated anyway. And that's coming from someone who collected TFs since '84. Though I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind a more G1 color scheme on it, at least.

Who wouldn't. More black would make the purples and yellows pop more compared to the gray.

I will be getting all these figures because I'm a complisonist but I will get them from gave to least fav and will try and get the ones I don't like for a lot cheaper than cost

The Cons got a whopping 12 (Shockwave, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Frenzy/Rumble, Ravage, Starscream, Kickback, and the Combaticons) while the Bots have only 2 (Optimus and Jazz; the other three are retools). Even if they got all the Dinobots the Autobots are outnumbered, something Hasbro won't let happen.
I think Ironhide and Jetfire have pretty good odds at getting toys this go-around. IH is practically a given thanks to the obvious Ratchet retool.


I must say, I'm surprised we've seen nothing of either Megatron or Bumblebee.

A Jetfire mold might be good for a Slingshot and/or Skydive retool, IMO. I mean since it's obvious they don't have qualms with not saving Aerialbots for a Superion combiner.

In an odd way I was kinda happy that there weren't many interesting toys this year for me... Then I see this post. Oh too many I want now....

I'll get shockwave ans skimp on fireflight and not sure about whether to get sideswipe or jazz.. I already have Wfc prime so was gonna skip the new one,,, looks like I'll be getting an ultra Magnus instead

Kickback looks ok... My question is.. Will wee the dinobots? I'm hoping they appear as toys here and hope they don't appear in prime.

Well, now I'll have Scattershot (Fireflight), Lightspeed (Sideswipe), and Strafe (Starscream). Just need a drill tank (that we can repaint into Twin Twist) and a decent techno motorcycle and I can scratch my Technobot itch.

That optimus mold really works well for magnus. I might pass on getting optimus all together and just have that ultra magnus around.

Here in the U.K. we don't usually see the items the rest of the world gets, for months and months!
No sign of wave 2 of TFPrime deluxes.
No sign of the DVD/Blu-ray release of TFPrime.

$17 is a steal for new deluxes as the general price (if you can find them) in GBP is around £15/£17 (approx $20)!

Deluxe Kickback - Pass. He's like ROTF Ravage but 2x worse >.>...
Deluxe Starscream - Awesome sauce. I love his double-barrel gun. Consider him bought xP.
Deluxe Sideswipe - At first he looks awesome but then I look at his leg...Pass >.>...However his gun look A-Maaaa-Zing~.
Deluxe Ultra Magnus - Wowza ! I never thought a repaint would look that awesome. He looks 3x more awesome than the original mould O.O...Depends on how he look in the final product, consider him bought xP.
Deluxe Fireflight - I cant believe they are able to make the original mould and this one so frickin different. It's like magic @_@...Although I might actually buy the Shockwave rather than this one. Too rainbow-ish for my taste.

Looks like i'm buying them all. Magnus really does do the prime mold justice. At 1st I thought on passing Prime, then I decided to get him to be my WFC Orion Pax, since it's bound to be smaller than the WFC one, and it bears a great deal of similarities to Orion from Autocracy...

Fireflight actually looks good. Kickback I don't mind.
Wow, Sideswipe really is a retool of jazz, very very heavy retool, almost impossible to see in vehicle mode, but in bot mode you can see he shares Jazz's part layout. That's alot of work done considering Hasbro could pass a red Jazz as sideswipe.

Starscream looks pretty bad ass, hopefully we'll get all 3 seekers. But as of now, Voyager Cybertron Starscream works as my WFC Starscream.

With Magnus just flat out pwning that mold, I finally have a reason to buy it. Plus, it's so substantially different from the WFC Prime mold, that I can justify it honestly. Not some copout to make me feel better, but now they really are two different figures.

Finally.

Animated's Magnus is too, and the Cyberverse, but for a figure in this big of a push...it's so nice to see a new Magnus toy.

WFC Optimus looks and works so swell. Why change him to this Derpy Hooves thingamajig? Leave the asshattery to Magnus. He does it so well.

They OK. Ultra Magnus will get bought on sight. These are going to be some cheap ass figures just like the majority of PRID. I have to admit WFC was much better. The only gripe I had with WFC was Prime and Megatron should have been voyagers, but I can transform WFC Prime just fine.

Well without a movie to boot the line we are getting some odd ducks this year. Back to repaint/retool/head change city again.

Magnus and Sideswipe, the rest I can pass on.

It wouldn't be an official TF photo if something wasn't done wrong. I suspect at this point it's deliberate.

That is bizarre. It's like someone starts at hasbro and people harass them with wrong transformation instructions. Look at how the insecticon was transformed at botcon an right here

The only logical assumption IMO would be that they hire people that don't know anything about Transformers to photograph them.

Whoa! Easy kitbash fodder there! I saw someone already do a digibash of FoC Jazz->Chromedome too. Nice!

I dunno about you guys, but this is kind of what I expected from Botcon, instead of like...4 new toys. :p I am amazed. And I can honestly say I want every single one of these.

Kickback/Insecticon has already been discussed. He's decent enough to fill out the 'Con shelf, and worst case he does fit in with Prime pretty well too.

Starscream, holy freakin' crap, I love it! Dead ringer for the game model. Really well done.

Sideswipe - Almost didn't realize he was a retool of Jazz, it's that extensive. Pretty decent too. Not perfect, but not bad. Will buy. Nice thing is, if I can find another for cheap I can swap some parts out and give Jazz the black pants he deserves.

Ultra Magnus is one of the biggest wows here. He fits the mold better than Prime, and now I don't have to be bothered by having both WFC AND FoC Primes. I might still get Prime to put on my Optimus Prime shelf though.

Fireflight is surprisingly cool. Obviously the alt mode is pretty strange, but that is a really nice bot mode great color scheme and an all-around cool look.
