I was a kid in the 80's.....Im fairly sure I was alive at the time.

Hasbro make toys...toys are for kids, collectors are a small part of the market and Hasbro really doesnt have to do anything for us older fans at all, it wouldnt hurt them to ignore us all together.

Trying to be funny huh ???

What I meant was that Hasbro's current target audience (AKA today's kids) were not alive in the 80's or even the 90's. They have no relevance to the G1 cartoon or it's characters. They dont even know Universe/Generations/RTS are homages. They probally wouldnt care if they did and mix them up with Bayformers.

And I wouldnt say Hasbro doesnt care about collectors at all because they sponser the Transformers Collectors Club and Botcon. My issue is they only care half ass.

I knew what you meant, I was just being pedantic.

I didnt say Hasbro dont care Im just saying they dont have to care at all, Im sure it wouldnt really hurt their overall profit if they stopped worrying about their G1 type collectors and gave up on nods to G1 and reissues etc and simply stuck with their new stuff. If they didnt sell it they wouldn't have to design it etc. Non cartoon characters from the Universe or Generation lines are probably less popular with kids. Saying that I realise that I have no idea how popular they actually are though.
