Yea I know this is old news about the new show but this is the first time I saw a trailer for it.

I think apart from the art style I kinda like it, the animation seems to be ace!
and it will have VENOM!

Whats funny is that this toon will probably pay a much better tribute to him than in the movie.

Yea it will, I can't wait for Venom! And those Ock arms look awesome, just one question, which villain has organic tentacles, or is that suposed to be the lizards tail?

That's definitely the Lizards tail. Or if not that, some other villain made for the show.

Aye, but it would be odd to add into a continuous pattern of old enemies a random new one. I'd say that's the Lizard.
Not that into Spiderman but the animation looks pretty neat for this one. I really hated the much older one, I couldn't get to grips with how unnaturally fast it moved.

Well, they certainly can't fill up each episode with one of the main villains. So they'll have to have some filler in there. Unless you mean for this trailer and not the actual show.

Yeah, I'm gonna pretend I didn't just see that. I've never liked the armpit webs and I prefer Peter Parker to be an adult. Pass.

Yeah, for the trailer. I mean Spiderman has such a mythos, it wouldn't really be the best strategy (but by no means the worst) to go 'NOW WITH NEW ENEMIES!'. When you think about it, I think most of the hype about TF: Animated was from that they were including a lot of G1ness. We're all welcome to new things but familiar is friendlier. I'm 100% that was The Lizard. If I'm wrong I'll eat my entire outfit.
Yours too.

There's something about that WB-styling that's always turned me off to a lot of these shows, all the way back to Batman:TAS. Still, it's only fair to give it a shot before passing final judgement.

You know in most versions Spider-Man started as a kid? In fact, when he unmasked in Civil War, he even said he started when he was 15.
I don't like the armpit webs. Although, they are part of Spidey's design in certain versions.

Yes, and I put up with it in the first movie as well. My first introduction to Spiderman was in 1997, during that animated series. He was a buff adult, and that's the version I like. I guess it's because I'm out of high school and aren't interested in characters of that age. And yes, I had to ignore Sam being a teen in Transformers as well.
I have never been a huge fan of kids or teens being the heroes of anything. Perhaps that's why I love Wolverine.

I got into Spider-Man from the '97 series as well. But in all versions of the series in the thirty years BEFORE that, he was a nerdy high school teen, which made him relatable to comic book fans at the time.
And most of the major humans in Transformers have been teens, going back all the way to '84.

Re: New Spider-Man cartoon!
I kinda pick and choose with Spiderman. I don't read the comics, because it'd take me forever and a day to catch up (though I'm considering joining that Marvel thing that lets you read them digitally so I don't have to buy any real issues). I don't watch any newer shows or the old ones. I like the 90s series and the movies and the art.
Now Batman, I've been watching since 1993. I had both the second movie and the show that got me hooked. I don't watch the newer show either...or the original live action (though I did as a kid
). I discard the third and fourth movie and drool over the newer ones. I don't read any comics. I've never been one to worship every version of every franchise I like.
As for the teenaged TF human characters, meh. Who's paying attention to them anyhow?

Don't you folks mean the 1994 series? There was no 1997 series.

I know the show didn't begin in 1997. That's just the year I began watching it. I usually refer to it as the 90s show.

Nah, I mean the '94 series. Where everyone used lasers, and it was even less realistic than your standard Marvel-616 story.

I remember how I always thought it humorous that the 90's X-men series, Batman:TAS, and Spider-man all aired on the same station (batman and X-men were back to back). Childhood memories are fun.
I didn't think Unlimited was that bad. It was a step away from the usual Spider-man fare, if anything.

Ditto I grew up with the 90's show. It was and still is tied with Beast Warts for my favorite cartoon ever. However it looks good so I'll watch the first few episodes.
