Same...Well, it's not so much that I missed it, it was on the TV behind me, but I was completely preoccupied with something else. I know WilyKit has another flute solo, and there's a bunch of elephants that always forget. Anyway, that's why we have YouTube.

Didn't quite get what that hut was all about.

The blatant Toy ad for the Thunder Tank, and Thunder Bikes at the beginning of the Episode seemed a little forced to me.

And the moral was a little too much to take. Seriously could it have been any more obvious.

I hope they can go back to the stellar writing of the earlier episodes.

This is one of the weaker ones I think.

Agreed. The target audiance is children, so it's perfectly understandable they'd stick in a segment or two showcasing how cool something is to sell a toy. And come on, we're discussing this on a Transformers website. ;)

As for the moral, obvious maybe but it's not something approached very often. It was a nice counter to the last episode in a way, because while brute force may have been right to help the Berbils, here it only lead to more trouble.

Oh wait a minute, we could essentially call the moral "The Circle of Life". There has got to be a joke in there somewhere.....

And while the main plot didn't appear to advance in any major way, it was a nice world/atmosphere building episode, and I enjoyed the Elephants. I like how they're subtley showing that the Cats more or less lived in a bubble society.

So all in all, I thought it was an enjoyable episode.

Yeah true, but it just seemed like the scene was there for no other purpose. Maybe they could have worked in a battle scene for he tanks and bikes. Something that would show off their features. not just a bland race scene.

It was the worst episode so far in my opinion. Well actually,to correct myself, none have been bad till this one.
I found the Thundercats stepped out of their boundaries by fighting everything in sight without getting the whole story. They were rather impulsive to say the least.
There also should have been a better interpretation of Lion-O getting in the "zone" with the whole sight beyond sight metaphysics of that particular ability.
Overall it was a rushed episode story arc wise. IMO

Great Episode.

The Fight scenes were really well animated. The Powers of each of the forgers were great.

I really liked this one. Brings back the great writing, with a certain twist. Not completely unexpected, but a good one none-the less.

Editing is still a little off. But all in all a very good episode I think.

Was it me or were this episode's shots focused on Cheetara's boobs a little too much?

Near as I can tell, most shots of Cheetara focus on her chest or butt. I am not complaining.

Was anyone else hoping this episode wasn't heading towards an environmental message? It felt like a very "green" episode, what with the bad guys running a paper mill that was clearly tearing the forest a new one.

Also the paper powers made me think of Read or Die, which I'm okay with, actually, since it looked really awesome.

I also thought that, and it did look awesome 8) . Hope they come back, and if the do maybe the other two will actually speak! I figure they didn't cause I've heard other shows can only have so many actors per episode(probably budgetary reasons), and I imagine Thundercats is the same way.

I bet we could see the Forgers again, well at least i hope. It's not like they were villians. Just misguided. Plus the school is still open so they could be allies in later epsisodes, i would suspect. Especially with a new head master at the helm. What's the forest guardians name again?

I think it was a great episode as well. Lots of great animation in the fight scenes with creative action sequences and speaking of animation......yes they are playin up Cheetara with some serious curves in this new series i have to admit.

I was cool with both of the newer eps, this one and sight beyond sight.

It's interesting seeing some of the other inhabitants of Thunderra/3rd Earth, but I would like some more movement along the main plot, like Mummra, Slythe, Grune.

I wonder if they have plans to introduce the Pirates (Hammerhand, etc.), and the white mutant guys.

Fun stories, and I've been able to catch this more regularly than I was TF Prime. The toys bug me, I really want to buy a Thundertank, but don't want to feel like it's $30.00 wasted.

Anyway, I'll keep watching. And yes, I did notice the camera focus on Cheetara's bosom a few times.

I'be tried to catch these, but its hard on a Friday night. So mostly I watch them sometime in the weekend on youtube.

As for TF Prime, only now am I catching up with it. I saw the debut mini series, and then lost track of it. Thanks to youtube, I've now watched up to about 3/4 of the season. (did that sound like a testimonial in a infomercial?)

I'm also catching up on Young Justice which I never even began to watch.

BTW for those in need, Animeflavor.com has all the Young Justice Episodes in HD available for watching for free. Some episodes have more than one source even. It also has quite a few other cartoon shows, and animated movies to watch.

Anyway, new Thundercats Episode tonight: Into the Astral Plane.

Uh, did I miss something? The guide said this would involve Lion-O and Tigra fighting in the Astral Plane, but that appears to be next week.

A good episode nonetheless, though.

Jeez. Aren't things hard enough for the Thundercats without Tygra being a dink? I think i like the original Tygra better. He was more cleric/zen like.

It's also good to see Mumm-ra show up. It's been quite a while.

On a side note....i'd like to see if that new fancy staff that Cheetara has can do any cool tricks being that it's imbibed with special powers.

I gotta say I liked this episode, but had some issues.

When did Tygra sneak away to get the tank?
Why is Grune so stupid? Clancy Brown is the greatest villain voice in cartoons, and Grune turns out to be beyond stupid. He's just standing there looking out into the nothingness while Tygra drives the tank up the cliff and shoots missiles at the lizards who also do nothing, and then he somehow manages to let Lion-O take the sword from him. How?

Tygra seems to harbor resentment for something that apparently never happened. I mean he says he feels invisible to Cheetara, but in the flashback he hides behind the big column?

He never does anything else to have Cheetara want to be with him either other than mope.

Jaga is a douche.

Why did I like this episode again? Oh, yeah the fight scene was decent.

Well, he was flirting with her in Episode 1. Tygra snuck away to get to the tank at the same time he said "Now I make my move", when he realised that Lion-Os plan wasn't working.

I still don't get why the elephants have such a short memory, when real elephants are the exact opposite.

There's also the issue of who gets to be king. Lion-O spends his whole life slacking off and not even trying, and he's still chosen to be king over Tygra, who has been putting in effort. You'd harbor some resentment, too.

Because it's funny, is my guess. Also, real elephants can't talk; I don't think comparing the in-series animals to their real-life counterparts works out.

I can buy that but he would be resentful with Lion-O which is quite clear yes. Not with Cheetara I don't think, any way.

But usually cartoon animals are given superimposed or over the top characteristics of their real life animal counterparts. Which is what makes the elephants in the show so odd to me, since their main species characteristic they have is the exact opposite of their real life counter parts.

It's still hilarious though.
