I hate every commercial that portrays men as completely stupid, incompetent, idiots and slobs...

So, that's like 90% of the commercials out there?

I wrote a term paper for a social crit class once about this. In it, I argued that people make so much of a conscious effort to not portray women in a negative light, that whenever there needs to be an 'idiot' in a commercial, 99% of the time it's a man.

Because in commercials, showing dumb women is sexist, but showing dumb men is okay.

If there are commercials that tend to offend your sense of what is morally right, you really need to stop watching television and get yourself a life.

Commercials that are highly annoying on the other hand - that's like 90 percent of the advertising you're bombarded with on a day-to-day basis.

The only commercial I even like is the Berries and Cream commercial. I love those Starbursts.

Any type of political propaganda. I'm insulted by it when I agree with the message.

I saw a real beauty on TV a couple of years ago. I only saw it once, so I think it must have gotten yanked. I am not going to say what the stupid thing's message was or whether or not I agree with it, because when you sink to this level of overwrought idiocy, your message automatically stops counting.

It's a beautiful sunshiny day, and by "beautiful sunshiny day" I mean "the glare off the camera will blind you." A young woman is strolling down a sidewalk in the beautiful sunlight. The glare off her makeup will also blind you.

SUDDENLY!

Gasp. Horror. A headline declares: "JUDGE [name excluded] ELECTED; [hallmark judgement excluded] OVERTURNED!"

And as the tears roll down her cheeks, the sky darkens, and a flock of pigeons fly about her in slow motion, symbolism so heavy-handed it would have made John Woo giggle like a schoolgirl.

I didn't know whether I wanted to laugh or puke, and I kept my mouth shut out of fear of doing both at once and setting some sucky new world record. But this embodies (and amazingly includes!) everything I've ever found obnoxious in advertising.

I like the new Pepsi commercials, though. They make fun of commercials like this.

I second the opinion on the HeadOn commercials. The advertisers seem to not have grasped the concept of beating a dead horse.

Any of the pop-up ads that appear regularly on the Cartoon Network and various places on other channels. Urgg, I hate them. A lot of the time they take up half the screen or they take their time walking across the screen. How aggravating. I hope they don't make a big appearance on the new Transformers cartoon, because that would be extremely annoying.

Of course they will. Only Adult Swim is spared.

God, I am getting sick of seeing those Vehix.com commercials over and over again.

"To the right.........more right.......now to the left....."

"Can I see it in red again?" (pulls out stun gun and zaps annoying woman with creepy eyes and smile)

Then you have the ones with the two employees with ideas for how to get Vehix's point across. The seemingly childish one with ridiculous plans (including a computer that sprays 'new car smell' every time you click on a link), and the other with the same idea - Vehix TV.

Even the more recent ones are as annoying as heck.

The commercials are bad enough. It's seeing them played countless times in what seems like only an hour. Any other Comcast watchers agree?

Okay, so they aren't exactly offensive, but they're at least offending us by believing we don't see their ads often enough...

What pissess me off the most is the fact that even when I watch WWE or TNA, WWE is suppose to be a 2 hour show, and yet approx an hour of that show is Commercials!!. Stupid Geico, Starburst, Skittles, Windex, WalMart, K-mart, all same lame crapp over and over etc.I guess that just grinds my gears. Ot said.More commercials during the movies as well, makes the movie seem lame.I need to go see the new movies at the cinemas, when they come out, no worries about commercial during the movie.

I too have Comcast, so I know your pain Why oh why do they bombard us with commercials that insult our intelligence? And then add to it by repeating them as if we didn't get the point in the first place? Sadly as Cybertron Optimus has said, only Adult Swim will be spared, unless they choose to show Transformers during that time.
