How many different kind of optimus prime repaint toys are out there?

I know of Scourge, Ultra Magnus and Nemesis Prime, is there any other?
From what I know Magnus is G1 repaint, and Nemesis is from Alternators repaint. Are there any other series that I'm missing?

Nemesis Prime is from Universe I believe (Big Convoy repaint).

And how do you choose to define 'clone' and 'Prime'.

Cuz there is some in Beast Wars too I think...?

I would be interested in any series, including Beast Wars.

I would define clones to be a toy using the same mold with minor difference (paint, head sculpture, shorter smokestack for convoy variation).

I would define Prime as both Optimus Prime (convoy) or Optimus Primal, but not Lio Prime or Star Saber or the likes from Japan only series(I never really knew if they were Autobots leader or not).

If there's been a Prime/Primal released in the United States, it's been repainted at some time, pretty much.

G1 Prime-Ultra Magnus.
Powermaster Prime-Various repaints, clear, red, etc.
G2 Lazer Prime-G2 Ultra Magnus-RID/Car Robots Scourge
Optimus Primal-Pink Universe Optimus Primal
Armada Prime-Powerlinx Prime-Scourge
Cybertron Prime-slight repaint later in the series.

I know I've missed possibly hundreds of repaints, but you get the idea.

Movie Prime and all of his repaints. Night watch, battle damage, that G1esqe one.

As far as I know, there is only 3 as well. Do you have any links to picture?

After further "research" at the toys galleries, maybe it is much easier to list which Optimus Prime (-al) does not have a repaint.

I think Optimal Optimus might be the only one.

After further "research" at the toys galleries, maybe it is much easier to list which Optimus Prime (-al) does not have a repaint.

I think Optimal Optimus might be the only one.

Optimal Optimus was repainted as well, for the Universe/Wreckers line I think. His name was Primal Prime or something like that....

Well I give you the one's I know about.
There were 3 Nemesis Prime's from 3 different toylines....
Universe:Big Convoy repaint
Alternators: repaint of Alternator OP
Armada: repaint of the smaller version of Optimus

There were two Scourge's that were repaints of OP
The first was RID Scourge was a repaint of G@ lazor OP
The 2nd was a KB toys exclusive and was a repaint of G2 Heroes OP
G1 OP was repainted into Ultra Magnus

Beast Wars Optimus Primal was repainted for the Universe line
Transmetal Optimus Primal was repainted as a botcon special called Apelinq
Before they made Optimus Primal a ape the toyline released him as a bat and he was also repainted as Apelinq
Optimal Optimus was repainted into Primal Prime

The Armada Energon and Cybertron versions of Optimus Prime all had two releases with different paint jobs.

Now most [if not all] of the Japanese Convoy figures had repaints done........most were done in the Nemesis Prime/Scourge look and some were repainted clear or colored clear.

Thats about all I can remember right now but you can look up the names Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal here.....

it's a repaint of voyager Prime.

Nuclus Black Powermaster Prime

Wow, those are some impressive Optimus collection Sentinel Prime.

One question: the 8th picture has one Optimus / Ginrai standing in the middle. What line does it belong to? Does it have it's own clone/repaint?

Reverse Convoy looks a lot like G2 Megatron, is it just a repaint with 2 heads or different mold?

It's modified from G2 Hero Megatron.

The Megatron head swivels and hides behind the cannon.
The Optimus head is at where the G2 Megatron head was.

I have the toy. It's pretty cool, despite the simple deco.

Well primal was never a prime in thefirst place. Also victory leo was optimus prime rebuilt into victory leo. To my understandings as i understood from watching some of the episodes and the movie of the bw series wit hleo convoy and the comics beast wars i always gathered leo convoy o be optimus prime the white lion form would be a good form for optimus prime imho any ways.

The only thing that does not sit well with me is bot mode looks like he has boobs...very big ones too.
Still a very impressive toy, wouldn't mind to have one.

Your a bit mistaken.You must have watched the star dubs of Transformers Victory.
Victory Leo was the rebuilt form of God Ginrai.Now the toys of Power Master Optimus Prime with Apex armor and God Ginrai were made from the same mold but they were different characters all together......but on the english Star dubs of both the Masterforce and the Victory series they went with the name Optimus Prime because they felt that their viewers would prefer it.

All so I dont know if you are aware of the fact that the original Bible for Beast Wars the characters of Optimus Primal and Megatron were originaly going to be new bodys for G1's Optimus and Megatron.As a matter of fact in Japan's first translated version of our Beast wars first season they were still under the assumtion that they were new bodys for the G1 leaders.They never got the revised bible for the show from Hasbro.

The croc Megs and bat Optimus were supposed to be the original G1 characters, and an initial unused concept was for them to have 2 beast modes each, I.E from a bat into a gorilla into a robot.

And God Ginrai was actually a human himself, while PM Prime's Powermaster was the only human component.

Yeah not the best idea but they found a way to pull it off.

don't forget the countless luckydraw primes, jafcon prime(black g1 prime), binaltech black convoy(diecast alt nemesis prime with a better paint job), the different variations of g1prime(bloated fists/gun , different colored rollers, etc etc)...The complete list of prime varients would be endless. I'm glad i'm not out to complete it.

does the unreleased green laser prime "toxitron" count.
then there was laser ultra magnus...look what you did.

I found that the only ones without repaints / clones are Optimal Optimus Titanium and Optimus Prime (RiD) titanium.
