Anyway, I watched thoughs 3 episodes. Never remembered evil Autobots appearing in an episode before the Hate Pleague. Oh well it's still kinda funny the only time the base mode is used is when Optimus is evil. Unless there's another I don't remember.
In the pilot more then meets the eye he splits 2 different times but not into all 3 peaces.....in episode 2 he sends rollor out and in episode 3 he uses his base mode to attack Megatron.
In season 2 episode Attack of the Autobots he splits into all 3

The first appearence of evil autobots was when Megatron screwed with what could be considered the CR chamber. Jazz was the only one that wasn't affected at the time, and Sparkplug actually saved the day with his skills creating something to undo what the evil CR chamber did. Teletran also got to show some personality in Attack of the Autobots. Later on Megatron went and had Starscream and the other cons disquised as the Autobots to show that they were evil, rather then the Decepticons. Which actually was rather clever since it let him take over the planet.

Huh? The only Decepticons that ever posed as Autobots are the Stuticcons. (as far as I can remember) When they were fisrt built people thought the new Decepticons were the Autobots with the same vehicle modes. How is Starscream supose to fool anyone into thinking he's an Autobot?

Of course later the autobots pulled the same trick and repainted themself as their Stunticon counterparts.

Allso Jazz wasn't the only one not effected. Bumblebee never went into the "recharge chambers" either.

They were just called Recharge Chambers but they might of been the early forms of CR Chambers. Verry simular in design.

Let us not forget that the Autobots have been mistaken for the enemy several times.

Three times on earth.
Several times on various alien planets.

Prime should seriously get a press agent to deal with their popularity.

Brilliant!

Of course they could always go and put up political ads against Megatron and the Decepticons. But then again Prime's too nice for that...most of the time.

I still don't get why he acted the way he did in the episode where they were put on trial. His line at the end seemed rather cold for Optimus. But then again he was probably really ticked off at the time.

Something to the effect that he hoped the justice system treated the bad guy more fairly then it had treated the Autobots.

Now there's a huge mistake in that episode. How could Starscream and the other seekers be on the tape taking off their masks when...

1. The human was filming them as proff the Autobots were evil.

2. Starscream and the other seekers were with Megatron attacking the fake Autobots at the oil field.

That would mean the Seekers were attacking themselfs and the human knew the whole time that it was a set up.

You need to watch the episode more closly..........
1.The humans in the chopper left before the Con's took off their costume's.

2. Starscream ,Ramjet ,Thrust And Dirge with Megatron attacking the fake Autobots at the oil field.

But the fake Autobots we say were Skywarp Thundercracker and Starscream .......so that means Starscream was attacking Himself.

There's no reason to beleave that any of the humans knew anything about the set-up at all.
Althou you would think that at least 1 person in the editing department would have looked at the WHOLE tape.

Notice that Starscream was somewhat like a Pretender? He removed the Optimus helmet and the rest of the costume fell apart.

A stray blast knocked the camera off the heli as the humans left and Dirge picked it up, wanting to make home movies. This is probably when they got Starscream on tape taking his costume off. Megs promptly returned it to the human.

Even with the humans gone and the camera left behind they couldn't have got Starscream and the others taking off their costumes on tape because they had allready left the oil field before that had happen.

Megatron may have used it hmself to film the seen inside a fake Autobot headquarters for the other videos that were shown but that we didn't see being taped.

Eaither way you swing it either.

A. Megatron whould't be stupid enough to film the Autobots costumes being removed.

B. Someone in editing should have seen the whole tape.

I didn't really wanna go into the costumes but sece you mentioned it yea all of the seekers when they took their masks off their sholder vents poped up too.
