Even if you plan on ridiculing things they enjoy, you wouldn't be the same as them. They are the instigators, you are merely retaliating. This is debatable but since they started it, as far as I'm concerned they'd be fair game.

i say if people are dumb enough to ask such stupid questions.. then they dont deserve the time and energy to be given an explaination..

my friends either support or show interrest in my hobbies.. my housemate for example, may not be a big transformers buff... but we all know she loves grimlock

where as the rest are just interrested to see my latest acquisitions..

i guess what im getting at is.. i dont really get stick for my hobbies and interrests... because the people around me are my friends.. thus they accept me for what i am..

if people around you are too narrow minded to accept that you have your own interrests.. then thats their problem.. not yours..

No one has ever harked on me for it since then. It's not like I yelled or made a big scene, I just stood my ground and explained why I like what I like. Now I have people asking me what I thought of the movie, and what they think they should get there kids for Christmas. I'm not saying every situation will go as smoothly, but never back down from a chance to explain why you love what you love. If people still come down on you for it, then so be it. But at least you've taken the mature route that they wouldn't expect from someone who "still plays with toys"

You're not the only one who's ever been picked on in school for having different interests. Just stop being emo and ignore the suckers, they're not worth thoughts of revenge... that just lets 'em know that they're getting to you, which is what they want.

Ok here is my two bits of sence.If he is your Brother then do like they do in the Jails that hold gang members. What ever he likes just put in a little bit if TF.EXAMPLE If he likes uh The movie DESTURBIA say hey that Boy (Kale)in desturbia is in transformers.Last but least bet him Say I Bet you are to wimpey to watch the Transformer movie.

Wow, there are so many things wrong with this thread...I don't know where to begin.

It's just...hmm.

If you can post threads about being picked on by older kids (and that's basically what this amounts to) then perhaps it's time to realize that you still have growing up to do, and this is part of life.

We've all been belittled, picked on, kicked around, etc. I hate to sound cold, cruel and unsympathetic...but it's the truth.

Just stand up, tell 'em off, and carry on with your life as it is. If you let them beat you down now, you're always going to cave.

You can fight back without violence and win big time.

Or...you can stick with infantile crap and continue to receive the "beat down" that's been happening.

Of course you could always look up the toys he loved to play with when he was younger on the web and see what they're selling for now, pick out the most expensive ones(preferably ones he broke) and then show it to him, just so he knows that the value goes beyond kiddie stuff. And then ask him how many cds(or whatever it is he likes now) he could have bought with that amount of money.
