Still not interested in these. Buying non transforming TF toys was never my thing. Even if it was, it wouldn't be in the style of WWF, He-man action figures.
Seriously think Simon Furman is standing on thin ice here. As Simon still has contracts with IDW-Hasbro. While it's debattable Hasbro can't sue Simon for doing this as he might be on a freelacer type contract. IDW-Hasbro can still fire Simon and not give him anymore work.
Speculated Aaron Archer would be a part of this company. Doubt he recently joined, Guessing he was part of the company from the start.

Wondering what the inner robots toys articulation will be? Guessing similar brick former articulation like the BMOG 3rd party toys have.

I reckon Boneyard will be a nice companion piece to Classics Grimlock.

I see Pretenders Phoenix,Blood,Dowlos,Starscream and Grimlock! Great "homages" to the shells.
Thanks to the link which led one to the other.........something about Aaron Archer. So the PRICES of plastic was one of the headaches that got him to resign. So kind of a mix yay and nay for Hasbro. They manage to keep the costs down for mass produced figs but now, they kind of get painted into a corner due to toy space size concerns.
recent developments has oil peg at $80.00/barrel. So would that be a good news to us in the long run?

I thought it was very telling that Archer and Furman are a part of this venture, and I hope that means it will only garner more interest. While I haven't brought into BMOG yet, I think it's a great value that these figures are coming with BMOG-like tech drones.
The homages coming into this line are fantastic, and I'm impressed with these designs.

Play With This Too Desolataur (not Skullgrin/Dauros)
Play With This Too's second figure is an homage to Generation 1 Skullgrin, also called Dauros in Masterforce.
WikiAlpha.org page - http://en.wikialpha.org/wiki/Desolataur
Desolataur is a 6 inch tall articulated monstrous minotaur with optional hand, alternate head, weapons and a transforming Tech Drone partner. He is the first "bad guy" of their toy line from PWTT, and is designed by former Hasbro designer Steve Redinger. It will be part of their Kickstarter project coming early in 2015.

Re: Play With This Too Desolataur (not Skullgrin/Dauros)
It will be sold as a finished, painted product at retail like any other third party Transformer - but only IF the Kickstarter gets funded! The Kickstarter will pay for the molds to be cut and the first production run. There should be some recolors and remolds of the toy too, possibly special exclusives. So if you definitely want one, it might be wise to invest in the Kickstarter when it gets running in a few months.
3D printed prototypes are in the works now I'm told.

Skullgrin, Landmine, and Chainclaw were the Pretenders I had as a kid. So, if this gets made I'm down. Even if the Pretender "shell" is wearing the robot and not vice-versa.

Loved reading the G-1 Marvel comics Circuit breaker and Skullgrin issue. Thought it was one of the better issues.

I'm really liking this concept. I'm fairly certain I'll be in on that Kickstarter.

So the Drone robot that is 3 inches tall does not fit inside a area, inside the 6 inch figure? Guessing not based on available info. Think this is Disappointing, for me at least.

The big figure is 6 inches, a large Deluxe, and is HIGHLY articulated. The small figure is 3 inches, a Legends figure. The little figure breaks up into accessories that snap on the arms and back of the big figure as weapons.

Has PWTT given you any hint on what the prices will be for each toy?

Play With This Too Bloodbath (not Bomb-Burst/Blood)
Play With This Too's third figure is an homage to Generation 1 Bomb-Burst, also called Blood in Masterforce.

Desolataur is a 6 inch tall articulated monstrous vampire with optional hands, weapons and a transforming Tech Drone partner. Pretty sure the kickstarter won't be set up until 2015. Which is probably a good thing all round, it gives them time to work out all the costs they need to cover giving them a greater chance of succeeding.

Play with This Too Flarestrike (not Pretender Sunstorm, Kickstarter exclusive!)
Tweeted by Play With This Too this morning is a recolor of their Jetstrike figure (formerly known as Jetwash) which is said to be a Kickstarter exclusive recolor called Flarestrike. This figure is highly reminiscent of Pretender Starscream, but done in the colors of G1 Sunstorm.
According to Play With This Too's head Rik Alvarez, Jetstrike and Flarestrike are members of the Strikers team, and we may see more, but the only way you can get Flarestrike is by participating in their Kickstarter campaign in February 2015.
