Deadpool. wrote:Why is it that the Jap versions are always better?![]()
I mean, the American version of Masked Rider sucked big time too, whereas the Jap Kamen Rider is pretty good.....
Oops. My bad.Professor Smooth wrote:For the record, most Japanese consider the word "Jap" offensive. You are probably just using it as an abbreviation for the word Japanese, but it's still offensive. "JP" or "JPN" are the prefered abbreviations.

And The Next seems interesting.
I still have yet to watch the Den-O movie though....
Deadpool. wrote:Uh, any idea what time does Den-O air in Japan? And which channel is it on?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
Dead Metal wrote:What there are two different versions of the show?!![]()
The original JPN (thanks Professor Smooth) and then there is US version?!
The same goes for Maskt Rider, maybe even Beatel bots?
Oh man this is confusing

Yep. A lot of shows from back in the mid-'90s were taken from Japanese series'.
Masked Rider, Beetle Borgs, and VR Troopers are all examples. The latter two I really liked as a kid (For some reason), but they died because the Metal Hero phase kind of died down, and they ran out of usable footage from those series'.

It's the american one that's going animated.

Not for the animation industry.
Who knows, if this takes off, and I'm still interested in animation by then, I could be working on Power Rangers Pirate Force, or Cowboy Thunder, or something to that nature.

Professor Smooth wrote:I REALLY think that an animated series has potential. Just imagine the Zord/Monster battles when they're not limited to "Japanese guy in a rubber suit punches another Japanese guy in a metal suit." Disney's give us Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, and Gargoyles. This could be great.
