Predator vs. Ryu Hayabusa

Postby Shadowman » Mon Oct 06, 2008 11:45 am

Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
A Predator, an alien bred to hunt simply for sport, and eternal nemesis of Chris Hansen, vs. Ryu Hayabusa, badass ninja, who fights demons on a regular basis.

The Predator gets all of his tech, while Ryu has the Dragon Sword at it's basic level, but all of his other weapons. (Arrows, shuriken, kunai, etc.)

The Battle takes place in the Vigoor Capital, but with no interference. (I.e. no Black Spider Ninjas, Vigoor soldiers or Fiends trying to off Ryu, but no one coming to help)

Ignoring usual ninja traits (Flipping out and killing people, Real Ultimate Power, etc.) who wins?

It's ether the Predator just attacks and kills him from behind.

Or The Predator going to a more honorable melee fight, finding out that he's a more then even match and then decides to just use the bomb to kill everything in the surroundings.

I really don't the ninja will survive this.

I thought the Gauntlet Bomb would be a problem evening this match out, but, keep in mind, Dutch was able to escape the blast in the first movie, and he had to climb over Jungle Terrain (as opposed to Vigoor's relatively clean city streets), and he wasn't nearly as agile as Ryu.

Empire Strikes Back. Revenge of the Sith. Alien vs. Predator (The Predator was essentially the good guy in that). Terminator 3. Matrix Reloaded. Zeta Gundam. No, the good guys don't always win.

I forgot to research on the city... silly me. But in the game Predator Concrete Jungle, the bomb destroys an entire city, a city that kinda looks like New York, and in the AVP 1, the bomb was shown to blow up one of those pyramids and it's surroundings.

So either Predators can control the size of the explosion, or Dutch is really good at outrunning explosions in jungles.

I think they just decided that a big, very biiiiiiiiig explosion was cooler, but I prefer the option of Dutch being good at outrunning explosions.

I don't know about Concrete Jungle (I wanted that game, but I never got it for some reason), but I figure the explosion in AvP was caused by multiple Gauntlet bombs going off together.

It's an awesome game, it's real sad my cousin destroyed it before I could get past level 2.. And the explosion in AVP was coused by just one gauntlet bomb, both in the flash back and the present.

Well, i haven't seen AvP in several months, I can't remember how any of it went, except that the good guy Predator got stabbed by an Alien Queen at the end.

I have to say Ryu, he's faced powerful demons and even been to hell and back. The predator could win with a stealthy back to the head while invisible but that makes for a boring fight.

Predator's, as someone brilliantly stated in the past.

Are Badass Redshirts, or essentially Storm Troopers.

When going up against characters not important to the main plot-line(essentially everyone but Dutch and the one lady, or Gary Busey and Bill "Game Over Man" Paxton) they are ruthless unstoppable killing machines.

Up until they go up against a named hero, they are still able to bring that person to the point where they may die. But they ultimately lose.

Because lets be honest, look at the Stormtroopers in Return of the Jedi, they lost to @#$%ing teddy-bears. It's essentially the same thing as losing a fight to a Peekapoo.

And if your this grand army of the Empire, feared throughout the galaxy, and you lose to bi-pedal versions of these

Image

There is something incredibly wrong.

Edit: and yes that is actually "my" dog. Who happens to be a peekapoo, owned by my roommates.

I think that Ryu has been tricked by the demons. He believes that he's killing them but they're actually immortal so they simply reform and go elsewhere. Predator shoots Ryu dead from a distance.
