I have a sneeking suspision that the "Shattered Glass" is set in an Alternate Universe where the Autobots are the villains and the Decepticons are the heroes. Can anyone confirm this? Tell me more about it.

But seriously I thought it was weird they didn't just completly reverse the logos insted of makeing Optimus Purple and putting "Till all are gone" on his cab.

I kinda thought something like that. Especially with Prime's colors. My idea, though, was that it was just him being evil and not necessarily all of the Autobots.

Guess we will just wait and see.

It's a take on the 'Mirror' universe from Star Trek. The Federation had all of it's regular symbols and insignia, but just slightly tweaked to reflect the state of things.

It's supposed to use the Autobot symbols so that you stay confused. Probably some stories coming of some poor schlub of a bot (likely Cliffjumper from the Club magazine comic plot) ending up being dropped in there.

I got the Shattered Glass Set and Exclusive figures from Botcon and also you got the Con Ed. Transformers Timelines Shattered Glass Comic. Cliffjumpers dropped in a universe that's fundamentally divergent in both time and space from his own. The Autobots insignias are the same but their ideals and colors are more that of the Decepticons that Cliffjumper knew. The Decepticons in this universe still have the Decepticon insignia but hold the values and familiar color schemes as the Autobots that Cliffjumper knew did. The comics and the idea are awesome and there's nothing like seeing Prime as ruthless or more so than Megatron and in turn to see Megatron as a true and compassionate leader. I think it's cool as hell to see all the characters in this twisted universe!

Going into botcon, I was just ok with the set. I had my favorites and whatnot, but after reading the comic, the profile cards, and seeing everything, it's just awesome. The story is open ended and I was so happy to read that it doesn't finish at the end of the comic.

My favorite part is that Blurr, Goldbug, and Rodimus are the seekers. AWESOME!! I'm hoping that we will get more from this universe from the club in the future. I think they even wanted fans to post potential exclusive toy ideas at the club.

So what's alternate universe Starscream like?

Something about "Rodimus being a seeker" makes me think his evil personality is based off the evil Starscream. He's the "I want to lead I'll kill you Prime" type of guy.

Starscream was very kind and generous, and didn't backbite at all when he was going over the plans to stop the Autobots with Megatron, Cliffjumper, and Sideswipe. He is very similar to Jetfire with the good Autobots(even carrying the same colors). According to Evil Rodimus' bio, he was part of the "Wreckers" before they were killed by the Decepticons, and sided with Optimus in his tyranny, but he is very similar to Starscream in his mindset, and wanting to take over. Sideswipe used to be a seeker, but Drench, who became a Decepticon, was his mentor who taught compassion and kindness. When Sideswipe rebelled against Optimus, they attempted to kill him, and killed Drench, which caused the scar through the Autobot symbol(a very nice explanation of the Wheeljack repaint lol). Sideswipe was repainted in Drench's colors as a reminder to Optimus that revenge is a dish best served cold lol. I would look at some of the bios in the Toys Forum for further info. It's a very cool premise and they went to extremes to flesh it out.

Sorry buddy but your not completely right.

Your right about the idea being simular to Stat Treks Mirror Universe theme but in the Mirror Universe the insignia's of the "Terran Empire" were completely different that those of the United federation of planets.

Minor corrections, Drench was killed by Prime because of his philosophy. He didn't become a Con, but had compassion, a trait Prime didn't want in Command. Prime saw that Sideswipe wasn't to thrilled with what happened to Drench so he set up and ambush for Sideswipe, but accidently also killed another Autobot during the ambush, which is most likely Shtrd Cliffjumper. That's why in the comic, Sideswipe said that he was there when his CJ's ember left/burned out.

I don't recall that symbol ever been seen till Enterprise did their Mirror Universe episodes. I think I've seen all the Mirror Universe episodes before that and don't remember that logo being used till then. I could be mistaken though, it's been a while sence I've seen any of them.

Anyway as God Magnus has shown the Mirror universe insignia's were on the walls of the Enterprise but if you also look at the Uniforms you'll see them as well.On the opposite side of the chest that the regular insignia is on a regular universe uniform.

I didn't know Uhura was that hot.

That exsplains alot...

BTW Sto, the pictures are kinda blurry. The decals look like an odly shaped rocket exsploding rather than a sword stabbing a planet. The one on the wall is nice and clear though.

Anyway... the haul of the Enterprise (Archer's ship) had that decal painted on it. Kinda hard to miss that detail.

Allso, Prime Evil, sence you never replied to my PM, why are Optimus and Megatron wearing capes and not kicking the Energon out of eachother's arses?

I thought of a way to lead the Shattered Mirror universe into a "Beast Era" simular to the how the normal universe did.

Beast Wars: Years have passed sence end of the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons. The Autobots won and the Decepticons became their slaves.

Maximals: The Maximals are the decendants of the Autobots. A group still lead by the Tyrant Optimus Prime.

Optimus Primal: Optimus Primal is the leader of a Maximal war ship sent to recapture a small group of exscaped Predacon slaves.

Cheetor: Cheetor is a young Autobot soldier. He lied about his age so he could join the army early. Rumor got out that Prime is looking for someone in the Maximal ranks to replace him and Cheetor wants the job.

Rattrap: Millitary Stratigist and weapons exspert.

Rhinox: Combat genious, second only to Rattrap. On top of that Rhinox allso has some medical training but he's much more likly to use that training to repair himself than his team mates.

Dinobot: Apon landing on prehistoric Earth Dinobot fled the company of the Predacons to seek out the Maximals and surrender. He changed his allegience to that of a Maximal only to save his own hide from being put to death when he be "inevitibly captured"

Tigatron: Due to the damage caused to his stasis pod Tigatron innitally thought he was actully a tiger. After discovering he was in fact a Maximal he still prefered to stay out in the wild. Anyone dare enter his teritory, Maximal or Predacon and they'd be scrap.

Airrazor: Some time after Tigatron was activated another pod was found. The occupant was dieing so the Maximals didn't bother with it. Tigatron was allso aware of the Pod. For some reason he gaurded her pod from the Maximals while the Predacons repaired it. Before they could reprogram her allegience he then attacked the Predacons as well.

Predacons: The decendants of the Decepticons, a group of Transformers who are now nothing more than slaves in the Autobot Maximal empire. 6 Predacons exscaped their masters and fled to Earth only to be followed by a Maximal war ship.

Megatron: The kind compasinate leader of the Predacons. Megatron named himself after the fallen leader of the Decepticons, the original Megatron.

Scorpinok: Megatron's old friend. He allmost didn't make it off Cybertron.

Tarantulas: Tatantulas is not actully decended from the Decepticons but Unicron himself, the great "God" of the Decepticons who came in their darkest hour to battle the Autobots. Unfortunatly his effort was no match for the Autobot Matrix of Tyrany.

Terrorsaur: He is called that because he is terrified of just about everything. Apperently not as much of a coward as that traitor Dinobot though. He serves as Tarantulas' assisstant being the team medic allthough they spend more time putting Waspinator back togeather.

Waspinator: Blave, prehaps TOO brave or maybe just stupid. He's a hot head allways running off whithout thinking first.

Inferno: The Pod Inferno was in was damaged more severly than Tigatron's so Inferno continues to belive he is actully a fire ant. He calls Megatron "My Queen" ect. In fact Inferno is probly the only Predacon who acts exactly like his normal universe self.

Blackarachnia: Blackarachnia was reprogramed insided her stasis pod to be a Predacon despite being a Maximal Protoform. Her and Tarantulas loved eachother from the moment she came out of the pod but that wouldn't last.

Cicadacon, Ramhorn, and Seaclamp: Like Tarantulas they are decended direct from Unicron. They are the Tripdicus Commune, a group dedicated to freeing Predacons. They maskerade as Maximals buying Predacon slaves and then freeing them. On their last job they got caught but they still have one last trick up their sleeves before being sentenced to death...

I'll have more about the transmetals and all that stuff later but what do you the mirror Beast Wars universe so far?

That is some really good stuff. You should be writing for the comics with that good of an imagination.

Transmetals and Fuzors

Maximals

Optimus Primal: Primal died and was resurrected in a simular fashion to his good self. However the resons were different. Cheetor was ordered to take the statis pod flight that the good Optimus took himself but at the last minut he managed to catch Primal off guard and throw him into the pod. He would later be brought back by Rhinox only because he really hates Cheetor.

Cheetor: After killing Optimus Primal Cheetor took over leadership of the Maximals. His leadership wouldn't last though. Not only was he too young and inexsperienced to have ANY leadership skills but behind his back Rhinox was working on a way to bring Primal back from the Matrix.

Rhinox: Normally Rhinox wouldn't give a crap about the well fare of a fellow Maximal but life with Cheetor as the leader was making it hard to defeat the Predacons and no one else really wanted the job. So out of his own selfish reasons Rhinox brought back Optimus Primal's spark from the Matrix.

Depthcharge: Depthcharge was tracking the signal of Protoform X. His self proclaimed mission, pull the Spark out of Protoform X and reverse enginere the technoligy on himself.

Silverbolt: Silverbolt is closer to the personality of BM Jetstorm except he still ends up likeing Blackarachnia. However the evil Silverbolt insted of actully trying to win her over decided reprograming her by force would be the best option. Before actully meeting Blackarachnia he and Rampage were fighting over Transmutate.

Transmutate: Complete Psycho, she attacked everything and everyone in sight including the 2 Transformers who actully liked her. Silverbolt was impressed by her power and Rampage thought he could calm her down and get her to join the Predacons.

Predacons

Tarantulas: After the deaths of Scorpinok and Terrorsaur, Tarantulas became a trama counciler to Megatron and Waspinator.

Rampage: Protoform X was among the Statsis Pods on Primal's ship. He was part of an exsperiment to copy the immortal spark of Starscream. The exsperiment worked but Protoform X was not a Maximal and did not want them to have that kind of power so he destoyed all the files and equipment so the procedure couldn't be replicated. He would later be recaptured and transfered to another facility only to be reactivated on Earth and hunted by the Maximal Depthcharge.

Quickstrike: When the 2 fuzors were originally activated they both worked on the side of the Predacons. Silverbolt wasn't really reprogramed to be a Predacon but they thought he was. He stayed with them long enough to learn their weaknesses and exsploit them and left to join the Maximals. Quickstrike however really was a Predacon and refused to go with Silverbolt. He single handedly... if he had hands... tried to stop Silverbolt from leaveing with the information he had on the Predacons. He did fail but didn't loose his life from it.

Starscream: Durring the Beast Wars Starscream posses Waspinator and tried to help the Predacons beat the Maximals. He and Blackarachnia developed a bit of a relationship durring his time with them. It wasn't romantic in any way but Tarantulas thought otherwise. In the end Starscream thought it was best if he left once he saw what was going on between the two spiders.

Ravage: Ravage was a Decepticon that got rebuilt as a Maximal spy by the Tripdicus. His allegience is still with the Predacons but when he arrives on Earth he finds Optimus Primal and his crew. He uses them to find Megatron. Once he is with the Predacons again he reviles his true identity. He was sent by the Tripdicus to assist Megatron and his crew, the last group of Predacons they helped free before finally being sentenced to death.
