Where the hell did it go after Optimus Prime/Rodimus Prime?

Star Saber was never shown with it and I don't know about the other toon leaders.

But, where did it go?

Rodimus took it with him as he looked for a new planet to live on, after Seibertron was destroyed, in Transformers Headmasters. Of course, the japanse/eastern and american/western continuity are not exactly the same.

Kup and Blurr went with Rodimus to find this new world. Later on there are a few references that they engaged into battle with the Destrons again, as they were on this quest. But basically, Rodimus handed command over to Fort Max and kept the Matrix for himself.

I dont think the matirx (power pack.. lol star dub) was ever mentioned on the toon after the double convoy ep where convoy dies in headmasters... The next time I rmember hearing anything bout the matrix was in magna (battlestars?) when rodimus convoy uses it (along with the power of the zodiac/power source from zone) to revive convoy as star convoy...

I dont remember if it says if rodimus ever found a replacement for seibertron.. Id have to read it again

I bet they wander all over the place, say "Nope, can't find anything suitible," and head back to Earth and set up shop there. Wait, if Beast Wars was a continuation of G1, why does it still have a Cybertron if Cybertron was supposed to be destroyed? Beast Wars begins somewhere about 300 years after the stuff in G1 and Cybertron still exists.

Because Beast Wars doesn't strictly follow on from the cartoon. It takes elements from both the cartoon and comic books as its history.

Also, given that Cybertron blew up in a Japanese cartoon, they would have relied solely on the US episodes, I would have thought, and the last US episodes saw Cybertron restored to a Golden Age (quite the opposite, now I think about it).

I love the thought of Rodimus, Kup and Blurr setting up on Earth, though!

The Canadian episodes of Beast Wars (That's right, it's NOT a U.S. show) did not acknowledge the Japanese storylines. So while Seibertron was destroyed, Cybertron still existed.

:???: HUH, so there is a cybertron and a Seibertron. I thought Cybertron was the english version for the Japanese Siebertron.

It is the same thing. He's saying that in the Japanese continuity it was destroyed but in the American continuity it wasn't.

So when does the American continuity and the Japanese continuity split off? Is it right after the movie or is it after the last season of G1?

And so Beast Wars is a bit of G1 and the comics, not a direct line from G1?

The American continuity ends after "The Rebirth" (part 3, obviously).

The Japanese continuity includes all of season 3 (the last two episodes actually have a knock-on effect in Headmasters), but ignores "The Rebirth" (season 4).

Beast Wars is a bit of both. There isn't too much that conflicts with the cartoon, as far as I remember, but it does take elements from the comics, too.

well if u are asking me they are different once the movie came along cause alot of the charachters killed in the movie or later seen in season 3 were either brought back or never given explanation for deaths to the charachters

That is what most people believe, but it is actually not correct. The Japanese continuity splits off after the second season. Although the Transformers movie was released in Japan at a later date, it was not set in the continuity set in the TV show.

Season 1 and 2 are known as Fight! Super Robot Life. What was known as season 3 in the US story line, was known in Japan as Transformers: 2010. Slight changes between season 3 and 2010 were made. For example, while te US story takes place between 2006 and 2008, as the title suggests, 2010 is set in 2010. They were supposed to have their own explainations between the changes of season 2 and 3. This was a mini-series called Scramble City. Scramble City was meant to replace the events of the movie to lead to 2010. Which caused minor changes to the story from the start. Like Trypticon not to be born in Five Faces of Darkness, but to be rebuild, after he was destroyed by Metroplex.

Unfortunately, Scramble City was never really finished. Only one (real) episode was ever produced. (A second episode was created with stop-motion animation with the toys, that turned out to be one long commercial for the figures). So any of the loose end that it was meant to tie were lost when they started to air 2010.

When Japan continued the show with Transformers HeadMasters, they dropped the Rebirth three-parter and went their own way. Because the movie never happened in the japanese continuity, Transformers that had died in the US series, were still alive from Headmaster onwards.

But 2010 was still season 3, they just moved it forward in time. On the Headmasters DVD, Chris McFeely says that Headmasters follows on from "The Return of Optimus Prime", and that the Japanese dub of "Dark Awakening" in 2010 lists the same characters as being dead as the US version.

I didn't say 2010 wasn't season 3. I said that the translation was altered in such a way that it had already began seperating itself from the US continuity. There were just minor changes made to the script, to make it start standing on its own.

That doesn't make what I said incorrect. The season 3 episodes and their stories are still included in the timeline, and they still have repercussions on Headmasters.
