I don't repurpose often, but I do it on occasion.

With a new head and guns, and a few Reprolabel faction symbols, Animated Arcee fills in a gap that would otherwise exist in my Classics "Movie Cast" shelf. Also, while I do have Classics Grimlock, I use the Masterpiece one here as I think (especially when the others are all robots) he scales better. (And one could argue that I am repurposing Warbot Defendor, who technically isn't a Transformer, as Classics Springer.)

Also, recently I got it into my head to try and assemble a Classics version of the original Arc crew. I had a decent start of it. Bluestreak arrived in the mail just today, Ratchet should do so soon, and I have the iGear Huffer on preorder and Trailcutterbreaker and Wheeljack are waiting in my Pile of Loot at BBTS. That should leave the only one missing as Gears. (Although I would like a larger then Legends Trailbreaker.)

So, what is Grapple doing in that photo? That's not Grapple, silly! That's Hauler!

(If anyone has any good suggestions on what might make a good figure to repurpose as Classics Gears, I'm open to suggestions. Or Hasbro can just make a proper one, I'd be cool with that.)

Hehe, he does look a bit like both Magmar actually (The evil Rock Lord leader, not the Pokemon)

I use Cybertron starscream as his WFC counterpart, as i have very few cybertron figs. Also a PCC Sledge with some reprolabels makes for a good classics Scoop.

He is my Movieverse Sunstorm, since he's basically a golden flaming Decepticon Seeker. His Cybertronian alt mode also fits his Holier Than Thou personality

I've found myself repurposing less and less over the years. At first for a Neo G1 display and later Classics, repurposes where necessary just to have a shelf. But now between Classics/U2.0/Henkei, etc. and Device/Music Label, Botcon and 3rd parties (and a couple customs) the only repurposed figures on my shelves are C Laserbeak & GF Hell Buzzsaw. Now I have all these figures that where stand ins that I have no purpose for like C Swerve and E Downshift (former Windcharger & Wheeljack respectively) and a bunch more that are now just in boxes for storage. Oh, well.

I hear that. Alternators Meister and both Energon & Cybertron Downshift now sit in a drawer and are no longer on display, now that a true classics Jazz & Wheeljack have come along.

That's probably the main reason why I've now taken to repurposing guys I already have as Neo-G1 versions of more obscure characters, guys outside of the main cast who'd be unlikely to get a real update anytime soon. Although, with the likes of Sky Shadow getting an update, who knows who'll show up in official form in the coming years/months.
