Laurence Fishburne did the voice of the Surfer. Doug Jones is the body actor.

Yes, however. Doug Jones did all the lines for the surfer before they brought in Fishburne to do the voice over. Doug Jones did the same for Abe Sapien, and Pan(Pan's Labyrinth).

When the first trailers came out, where you actually hear the Surfer speak, that was Doug Jones's voice, and not Fishburne's.
