Who has read the recent Spotlight of Optimus Prime and Megatron Origins? Or, more to the point who is considering making customs based on IDW's renditions of some of our characters? The first time I saw Sentinal Prime In Meg's Origin #1, I thought that was one awsome looking robot and I was anxious to see the vehicle mode. But the Prime revealed in the Spotlight was even better! His design reminded me of Energon Rodimus. Looking over the toy, I think that I can sculpt and paint him to be this new character. The hardest part will be to produce the trailer.
The designs they come up with are great. I know some members have done HOS figures. I'm just curious about anyone trying any of the other comics characters. I think a scratchbuilt cybertronian Sideswipe would be cool! Or maybe a redeco of Devastator the cybertronian style based on the vehicles from the Origin story.
Spotlights could = new customs

I had the same energon Rodimus Prime idea. They even repainted him white in a two pack with an energon prowl repaint. That way you wouldn't have to deal with getting white paint to look good (something I have yet to accomplish). As for the trailer, I was thinking in bot mode it looked a whole lot like a Gundam from ... Seed maybe. I don't know for sure, but it definitely looked familiar.
till all are one.

yeah, it had that gundam look to me too. Will a gundam wing work? I'm going to cut, bondo, & mod the crap out of the energon rodimus I bought off of my 12yr old. I wanted to keep my rodimus intact, and he doesn't play with his anymore. I'm just not sure how to work out the trailer's construction. The wheels seperate to fit under the feet in the combined form.

I'm not sure as to a good base for sentinal prime either. His arms resemble that of cybertron prime. Looks like the real difficulty for the legs would be the details. They appear to just pull down into place. The interesting thing is that Sentinal Prime seems to have treads in Megatron's Origin.
