PROFILE:
More likely to be found under a console covered in dirt and muttering colourful Cybertronian insults then on a battlefield; Springshift is a self proclaimed grease monkey. She excels at keeping things running long beyond their usual limits and takes every broken piece of machinery on as a personal challenge. With a tendency to get lost in her work she can come across as a little absent minded, sometimes forgetting about shifts or misplacing tools.
Underneath the usually sensible and practical exterior lurks a stubborn streak to rival a mules and an almost perverse sense of humour. As many Autobots have learned to their peril, it never pays to annoy the one bot on base that maintains the doors, makes sure the recharge berths work properly, and can set the environmental controls for any given area.
Although generally friendly, she can be a little stand-offish and doesn't talk about her life before joining-up; however she does admit to living in Kaon at one point and has been known to sing questionable Cybertronian shanties when over energised.
Thoroughly fascinated with Earth technology she spends a lot of her spare time shifting through scrap yards looking for things to tinker with or wandering around off-base enjoying a bit of downtime by seeing just how agile her alt mode is on and off road.
STRENGTHS:
As long as it's non-sentient she can fix it, from Cybertronian energon converters to a microwave; Springshift can pull apart or put together anything she gets her hands on. Her alt mode is extremely fuel efficient and the benefits cross over to allow her to work for extended periods, or cover large distances, without needing to recharge.
WEAKNESSES:
She's a reluctant fighter at best and deeply uncomfortable with the idea of killing things. Not being particularly strong, fast, or skilled in combat she's more often a liability then a help in the rare times she does get dragged into battles, much to her own annoyance. The most violent she usually gets is when a machine isn't doing something it's supposed to, leading to the universal repair method of a good thump.
