Seriously though, the figure may look like it could use more polish but it doesn't look like total garbage. We've all seen way worse, haven't we?

It looks like something TakaraTomy would have designed in 1990, which is good.

Honestly- If you wouldn't have known the dragonmode to be a dragon, would you have guessed it was a dragon?

I can't argue the statement either and while, surprisingly, I don't own Armada Sideswipe, I do have many other of the figures from that line (and others) that have left me me saying "WTF was I thinking???"

Still, and much pun intended considering one of his alt modes, this thing is a freaking train-wreck.

Sigh, such an awesome idea, yet, badly executed, for it's obviously super top heavy, & worse looks like a mess, & not at all cool or good.

...Dammit, TomyT', has gotta do better than that. Simpler, sturdier, stouter, & heavier at the feet so it can stand, and also give us HEAVY joints.

I'm not spending money on items that are that flawed anymore, not when you at TomyT', know about these issues, & have for years. Especially not at the import or "collector" prices. Even if I will likely see this at Toy's r Us at some point, I still would avoid it.

Why is it that Japan prefers Optimus Prime (Optimus EX Prime) combine with everyone.
(Okay 2 to 3 other autobots.) While the United States prefer that Optimus Prime be either a truck or monkey?

Not in my taste, but it's pretty cool looking. Wouldn't spend money on it though. Back in my day, Optimus didn't combine with anyone! Not Jetfire, not Godbomber, not even High-Q! I'm all for Optimus being something other than a truck or a monkey though. Unless he were a hat or a shoe. That would be silly.

Er...what? Sentai came long before Transformers did. Power Rangers just Americanized it for a wider audience.

And ripping off Transformers? No. In some ways, they have more badassery than some recent TFs.

Well that is pretty much crap. Also I don't see a dragon anywhere there and why does Japan love transforming robots with train alt modes so well? They seem like they would be so limited, although I do remember Astrotrain in steam-train mode running through the desert and jungle with no tracks and I was ok with it.

Transformers GO! is less like a sequel to a serious high quality (and kid friendly) show like Transformers : Prime/Beast Hunters, and more like "Epic Predacon animation models battle the off-spring of energon Ironhide x/and Prowl.... and the offspring of BWII Leo Prime + Sky-Byte/Hellscream/Cybershark + G1 Divebomb... one big energon fueled robo-sexual orgy of incoherent character action designed and marketed to emulate an actual story.... and now a kibbled out wannabe Classic Prime with epically bad arm kibble.. (And I thought Classic Prime was bad) is supposed to wow us... (NO!) that's the toy / answer..but.. put him in the show, and have him fight Tengen Toppa Gurren Dragotron.. and OMG

Just to comment (off-topic) on Train-formers:

one of my favorite G1 combiners is Sixliner / Sixtrain. (cuz I love micromasters, and they scale epically with robot masters Star saber / victory leo as well as the takara WST series)

and Railspike from R.I.D. (the only r.i.d. trainformer i had, but i got to play with midnight run), but Railspike is one of my favorite transformers of all time. he's sleek, sexy and his train mode is awesome too.

Wow, that's bad, it's so bland and uninteresting. So incredibly simple and yet it has less articulation than a lego mini fig.
