I need a little help compressing a sig pic down to message board limits without losing the quality (I'm using one I dumbed down by saving in MS paint... but it looks like hell)... can anyone lend me a hand? I've got Photoshop, but I don't have the first clue how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

Bah sorry about the link. Imageshack was acting up and I used imagevenue instead. Most of the time when you do a save for web just pick JPG and do around 50% lossy to start. You won't see any degradation until you get down to like 10%. I hate using that function when you want a gif though because it just destroys the image.

yeah save for web is the daddy, especially the optimize for file size feature, so much easier than fiddling with sliders and settings

Here's what I came up with. I was playing with different effects with the render.

If you could provide me with a pic (preferably a render) I could start on it tomarrow (it's late and my neck's killing me).

I like useing renders because it speeds up the process. You don't have to spend time erasing background and such.


As for the color, that may be a bit tricky for me. I use Manga studio(not photoshop) and I'm not sure it had a feature where I can turn one of part of his one color and another part another color. I can change the color of him entirly like in the one I did for bagofbest, but I'll try it later.

Useing the pic you gave me is tricky. It's useing Cell shading and there's no way for me to simply change the color w/ my program. I could manually color it, but it would look like something that came out of paint due to the fact that it's a cell shaded image instead of a pencil and ink picture like most sigs are used with.

If someone with photoshop wants to pick this up OK. But I can still make you a sig w/ Cybertron Prime.
