Evidence to everyone that though the final film wasn't perfect... it could have been a lot worse!
This treatment turns the film into moral filled kids-flick with messages of global warming and nuclear weapons. Reads like a fanfic.

Wow It's like a kid's movie from the mid 90's, Home Alone, the Little Giants, and Transormers. Yikes.
When was this script made?

As far as treatments go it doesn't sound much worse than what eventually came of it. Just remove the "Cybertron was once a lush organic planet"/Beast Machines backstory, replace all the little kid bits with American Pie adolescent comedy, replace the nukes with an all-powerful magic cube, and insert bits of Independence Day, Hackers, and Small Soldiers.
It's not even a script, it's a treatment written by DeSanto to pitch to execs and try to get them interested in funding the idea. We've still yet to see Rogers "pure G1" script (and I wouldn't hold my breath).

What this tells me is that thease guys didn't even try to even be g1 accurate to the story line. It read like a bad fanfiction yes but it was missing the same thing I was missing in the first movie...Joy.

That was terrible! No wonder the studios turned it down, and Michael Bay thought this all this was was a giant joke.
Pathetic. That wasn't even G1-esque.
That...was terrible. Disgusting.
