The Star Wars Toy Haul Thread

Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

The Kohl's near me has an older wave and there $10

They're running a sale on their toys now, and things that are $9.99 are now $6.99.

I'd check again, to be sure. :D

Nice. I only go to BTVSFigs to read up on the Buffy comic these days. Sigh. I miss the days when DST first kicked off the line sometimes.

You guys might want to continue checking your local WMs too. I just walked out of my local one with Lando in Smuggler's Outfit and a blue Clone Officer.

Now if I get the Starkiller Hero, Concept Snowtrooper, the red Clone Officer, and the red Pit Droids, I'll be all caught up. :D

I just got the Tomy Darth Vader Real Action Doll. I haven't put him together yet but he appears to have a high level of articulation based off the Microman design. Anybody else have one? Now for a stupid question. I'm planning on going as Anakin Skywalker for Halloween and I'm curious about how to carry the lightsaber on the costume. Is there a holster or something that they make or does it come with the costume? I plan on going shopping this week.

How common is it to find a galactic hunt figure?

Depends which one. I have found Chewie, Han, Animated Fett x 3, Airborne Clone x 3... so they are out there, but certain ones get picked up before others, thus making them rarer.

I was at TRU yesterday and stumbled on a SAGA '06 TIE with exclusive SCALED wings! it also had the Saga pilot instead of the toon'ish POTF2 version. Bought it without thinkin' twice.

P.S. Don't know if he's rare or not, but I also picked up Biggs DL.

The Interceptor is totally worth it. I especially love the kill marks on the hull. My only complaint is that my wings fall out extremely easy. Anyone know a cure?

Also, if you guys are talking about the Saga Imperial shuttle, I think its amazing. Its one of the Top things I want really bad, along with the Endor AT-AT, 30th TIE Advanced X1, 30th TIE Bomber, SAGA X-wing, and, (Not really in the same category) 30th ANH Luke's FX Saber. Not to mention the new AT-ST Ultimate Batle Packs. If you guys don't mind, Which ones in my list do you think I should invest in first, based on a limited budget, and why?

I'd go for the Ultimate Battle Packs first. I assume they'll be out around Black Friday like the Saga Shuttle was last year. They'll just be easier to get that way.

Though, everyone needs an AT-AT and I doubt those will outlast this holiday season. I can't speak for it, as I have two POTF2 ones and skipped the Saga release, but I've heard it's still a good buy.

Then again, the Advanced x1 TIE is only $20 and is a really fine example of toymaking even though it's already ten years old. I can see why this is a hard decision. :D

Found two Concept Snowtroopers tonight, as well as the rest of wave 6. I've counted it up, and I've spent about $110 on Star Wars toys since last Saturday.

That is a weird word. Is that the more dirty around the middle guy, light mud, less caked on, or is it vice versa?

If it's still the same one I had when I was a kid with the retractable guns and firing missiles, it's definately worth $20. I think mine was $30 back in the day. I'd still have it, but I sold most of my Star Wars toys in High School to get money for Christmas shopping (vehicle-wise I only kept my AT-AT, the Falcon, and the Outrider).

Oddly enough the only vehicle I sold that I really, really miss now was the A-Wing. :?

A pauldron is the shoulder guard the Sandtroopers wear. Never to be called a "shoulder pauldron," it's just a pauldron because the word implies it is something on the shoulder :) It would be like saying "a hand glove."

Did you guys see the news about the upcoming General Gree figure? He's going to have ball & socket wrists and hips! It's about time they tried it out. I can't wait to get one and see how good it is :) Hopefully Hasbro tries this with a Stormtrooper next. The VOTC ones have such girly hips, it's not funny.

The (incorrectly blue colored) Vader TIE was $20 when it came out in the POTF2 line. I'm still waiting for it to be released in its proper light grey color, like the TRU exclusive TIE Fighter that came out last year (back row, far right):

I could have sworn it was pricier than that; but it was a long time ago, and $20 sounded like more back then.
