The Twisted Metal Thread
For whatever reason, I decided to boot up Twisted Metal Black again today, and I forgot just what a cool game it is. The story is dark and disturbing, but it does set up a certain atmosphere for the game.
Who else loves the series? Wikipedia says they're making another one for the PS3.
I still have nastalgia for Twisted Metal 2. It's more wacky, and I loved blowing up the Eifell tower. While it hasn't aged well, it's still a blast to play today as it was yesterday in some respects.
So, thoughts on the series?

I always liked those games.
Those and Vigilante 8, those were fun too!

Twisted Metal 2 is still one of my all-time favourite videogames... I must have logged thousands of hours into that thing over the years.
Twisted Metal Black is excellent as well, a great update on the series, which is one of my favourite franchises. Too bad I could never afford a PSP, I always wanted to try the PSP one, Twisted Metal Head-On...
I was waiting for a port to the PS2, but it'll never happen, sadly.

Ah, Twisted Metal. I loved this series. TM 2 and TM Black being my favs. I always thought that a TM styled TF game would be all kinds of pwnage.
Anyone play Small Brawl and Head On? The only two I never played. How are they?

From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.

I liked Twisted Metal, Twisted Metal 2 but the most I liked was Twisted Metal Black, cool lockagen and great instrumental Soundtrack, my favorite cars was Readkill and Sweettooth only in Black and Mr Grim only in the second game because he looked like Ghost Rider.

True, Sweet Tooth was much better in Black than he was in 2. Of course, in TM 2 his specials did build up awful fast...
Speaking of Sweet Tooth in TM 2, anyone else think it was nigh impossible to beat the game with him? He had no continues, and no passwords, plus he wasn't that great anyway! I remember I just put in god mode one day just to see the ending, and what a bizzare ending it was!

Yeah, that why there was Darktooth who was almost unbeatable...

I love TM2 a lot, to the point that I even contemplated buying the PC version in eBay. What prompted me to do otherwise was the fact it was > US$50 (+ S&H).
I do find Grasshopper annoying. Speaking of its driver, Krista Sparks, will she ever regain her human form?
Also, I've noticed that the main series (1, 2, Head On) has the LAPD involved. How deep will the LAPD get involved in the latter installments?
