I'm a little bit pissed that I'm posting this on a pun thread. This really shouldn't be a place where there's any flaming or question as to the intent of a post like, "is that racist... or just crappy?" So here's a little reminder, guys.

Do you need to brush up on the rules?

Rules wrote:3. No hate speech.

Saying someone looks like Eddie Murphy if they're toasted or burned pushes that line. A little more than I'm comfortable with just leaving alone. Some may find it pretty funny, some may find it deeply offensive. Watch it.

You want to flame a mod about weight, really? Not a good idea, whether you make the text tiny or not. Weight shaming is NOT ok, mod or not. Don't do it, period.

I'm not sure that the intent on either of these things is malicious, so take this as a fairly gentle warning, despite the fact that this makes me unhappy this morning. Carry on... but be good to each other, and your staff, who works tirelessly to make sure this keeps going as an excellent place to be .

As far as the racial tone is concerned, you're right.
That was in poor taste. I apologize, and will refrain from any further comments of the sort.
If the other part of the joke offended Burn, he should let me know, as he was the subject of the joke.
I had no intention of "shaming" him.
If this is the case, I will apologize immediately.

Rodimus, thanks. I appreciate your reply and understanding. As far as Burn goes, I'm not sure how offended he was, you'd have to pm him and ask him that yourself. However, I can say that some people are more sensitive than others about their weight, and it's a wise area to tread very, very lightly. You seem like a decent dude in general, so I'm definitely will to let it go, move forward, and not have any further worry on the subject.

It's Overtkill from Spawn!

It's not an exact likeness no, but a lot of the design elements are there.

Also, I really don't know anything about Overtkill, he just looked familiar and I remembered the name from looking up Spawn stuff. I guess poor literacy is kewl if it keeps lawyers off your back. And if this was common knowledge, well, chalk it up to my ignorance on the subject matter.

Yup, that's him. The Overtkill design for the comic appearance was the exact same as the one in this video. McFarlane only changed the name to test out how far he can go before he gets sued. The name was then changed back to Overkill for the animated incarnation. It's somewhat known, but I only learned it back when I first saw this a couple years ago.
And yes, the way he originally looked in Spawn was exactly this, just with more of a McFarlane flare.
