For me, it's got to be Jazz. His Bayverse design was my favorite among all the Autobots.
Blackout--He was totally kickass in the first movie. The scene I rewatched the most in the DVD was when he arrived at the Qatari[?] air base and destroyed the whole place. A true display of Decepticon destructive supremacy.
Bonecrusher--he didn't get much screen time, but that highway brawl between him and Prime was awesome. Overall, I really like his brutish design a lot.
So basically, most all of the TF's that were slagged in the first movie, I wish were not killed off.
I'd have added the Arcee sisters [well, Arcee and Elita-1, in any case], if only they were given more screen time and a little characterization. I thought having one mind inhabit three separate bodies was a nice concept, and should have made for some interesting fight sequences.

Starscream. I mean, I know they needed to kill off some of the major Decepticons, but it's still sad.
And, although I don't view the comics as canon so I consider Chromia alive, I wish all three Arcee sisters were alive for DOTM. Although the website states that one is at least still living.
And lol, that gambit kid is so crazy. He makes me laugh.

Me too.
Agreed, I actually liked them...
Anyhow, Blackout because he was awesome and his death was pretty pathetic (well, compared to Brawl's).
I really liked Jazz as well, none of the other Autobots fit the 2nd in Command thing as well, maybe IronHide but still...

If it weren't for nostalgia, the '86 movie would be the Phantom Menace of Transformers.
I never got why it was so loved either. Particularly since it was so poorly received when it came out. I always considered the 86 film to be a guide of what not to do with an IP. It may not of killed transformers, but the combine failures of it, GI Joe and My Lil Pony the movie killed Sunbow which produced the series. Who knows if we'd gotten several seasons instead of 3 (I dont count Rebirth's 3 parters as much of a 4th season.)
I was around for when the 86 film came out and I hated it. Killing off Prime and all my favorites greatly reduced my interest in the show. Ultimately though I think I've bashed it enough here to cover whatever thoughts I had on that subject.

I'd find it hilariously ironic if 20 years down the road the Transformers fandom thinks of the movie series the way they do of the animated movie. Considering how many new fans both films have brought in I wouldn't doubt it one bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if kids my nephew's age who grew up on these bay films were defending them from a new generation of fans while bashing the current batch of transformers. I'm sure there were be plenty of new transformers series between now and then. We can only imagine where this property will be in another 25 years.
I personally find virtue in most new series of this property , even if I don't love it as a whole. I never really bought into this you can only be a fan of one thing mentality. (such as beatles or rolling stones,DC or Marvel, Star wars or Star trek.) While I'm sure everyone always has their definative version of what they consider their favor series or line up of characters. ( I'm sure this holds true for other groups, such as the avengers, justice league or Xmen.) But if you're willing not be so closed minded about it you'll probably see a few cool new characters and takes on things to make it worth while.

This happens to me. I love Animated, but now I bash Prime for not being like Animated. I hate the circle of nature.
I Am.
