Transformers Toy haul thread
Welcome to all the new members!
In the movie, they're all about the same size...Blackout might actually have been a bit bigger, at least in robot mode. He's technically a Voyager, even though he's the size of a deluxe.... I'm not sure why the other two only got the deluxe treatment. Hasbro probably figured they wouldn't sell as well at the higher price point. However, a leader class Brawl is going to be released.
My haul this weekend:
My girlfriend and I were out at the mall and she just decided to buy me a Transformer out of the blue. She's so sweet.
So I got the Blackout & Skorponok 2-pack because I wanted Blackout and they didn't have any from the first wave. And I pretty much got Skorponok free because the 2-pack is the same price as a Voyager.
Blackout's pretty awesome once I fixed his automorph, though he fits together a bit loosely in helicopter mode. Skorponok's pretty lame, no matter how I look at him. He's nicely detailed, I suppose.
Then I finally found another Titanium Rodimus Prime. It actually might be the same one I saw weeks ago at the same store, it was sitting behind a bunch of other toys on the shelf.
Also nice, it only cost $20.99. 1 more Rodimus to go.
Oh yeah, and my WST Soundwave came in the mail. He's so cool and tiny! Brings my Soundwave collection to 3.

Titanium Rodimus - Ahhh Finally, a Rodimus Prime that really is cool ?(plus he has knees!)
Movie Deluxe Brawl - This is the coolest decepticon of the movie to me and IMO the nicest Tank TF in memory.
Classics Bubmble Bee - Best G1 style BB EVER
Classics Mirage - probably my fav...
Got some good ones but that buying on a budget is a killer!

Voyager Megatron. I can't stop, it seems.
Also, it has now been exactly 1 month since I ordered MP Megs. I still have not received him, and all attempts to contact the seller have met with silence. A complaint is being filed.

Got movie Brawl & the Prime helmet today. The local Wal-Mart finally ran out of the Hasbro Janitor version & got a batch of the Cullen version, so I snagged one.
The only problem I have with it is the same problem with the Darth Vader helmet: it has no neck part, & cuts fairly short in front, so when I put it on you see beard right under the faceplate. But considering they're not exactly made for adults (though they are adult size), & particularly adults with beards....it's overlookable.

Hello all, my first post here. I have been a collector of several other lines over the years and recently got back into to Transformers. Since the release of the movie toys I have picked up a few for my son, he's seven. He also got a ton from friends and family members for his birthday last month. So far we have
Deluxe - 74 Bumblebee, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Swindle, Ratchet, Jazz, Scorponok, Barricade, Protoform Prime
Voyager - Blackout, Starscream
Robovision Prime
Voice changer helmet Prime
The wife found some clearanced Transformers movie beach towels at WalMart the other day.
I realize I said "we have" earlier. I thinks it's a cool experience to share with my son as I played with my Gen 1 toys when I was his age. During his birthday party my grandma said she remembered getting me TF toys for my birthday and me playing with them.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. I waltzed into TRU last week and found the exclusive Soundwave - the first and only time I had ever seen him and I felt compelled to pick him up. In the near future I plan on ordering the MP-05 Megs and MP3 player Soundwave from BBTS.
Right now I am on the hunt for '09 Bumblebee and Voyager Megs.

Boy, now there's an understatement. After about 5 or so years of constant collecting, I have nearly 600 TF's (not really sure how many, I haven't counted in quite some time), ranging anywhere from $5 to $300 a pop, & I'm nowhere near being through yet.kirbenvost wrote:^ Welcome the the board, and the hobby! Hah, I know... This year I've spent quite a bit of money on Transformers, I don't even want to figure out how much.

Yeah! The transformation process is nuts. I'd say the most difficult one i've encountered. I am going to get the attachments from justittoys though, It feels like megs is naked in alt mode :/
Just like how Mp01 was without his trailer.
I bet the release another version of megatron WITH his attachments, just watch.
I'm also going to add the USA release of anime starscream to this list and mp06 skywarp too.

Botcon Springer and Huffer have arrived. I'm liking Springer more than I thought I would, although the chest should really have been done in yellow (they should REALLY have used Evac rather than CD Hotshot, but that's a whole other story). Huffer is just sweet. Going to have to pick up an original Armorhide to put in as Classics Pipes now (at least he'll be a damn sight cheaper).

it's payday so I went to the toy store
I got:
Real Gear Zoom Out - he's good, spyshot's still the best though.
Real Gear Speed Dial - He okay, should have waited for the repaint maybe.
Movie Voyager Rachet - Meh, I wasn't sure on this figure so I took a chance and am sadly dissapointed, I'll keep him for a week and if he doesn't grow on me I'll sell him.
Both the colour scheme and the design annoy me, those big fat legs of his... *shudder*
Movie Voyager Ironhide - he's much better than I thought(love those guns), I like him but the shoulder pads are annoying as is the chest plate the can't lock(that's just sloppy Hasbro).
I'm broke now...
'till next week.
