That sort of gimmick would have been more appropriate for a POTP Leader class version of Megatron/Galvatron. Hasbro said that the Siege line won't be utilizing special gimmicks for characters that didn't originally have them, likely in reference to how characters who were never Combiners or Headmasters were suddenly made into such during CW, TR, and POTP. Hasbro had their fun with that in that trilogy, but Siege is going back to normality for its characters.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Random thought: What if they release a voyager Megatron that can combine with a deluxe weaponizer (not sure who they could theoretically use) and become Galvatron? Or they do something similar to Magnus and release a Leader class set where Megatron turns into a tank and then "armors up" to become a turret and the armor can turn him into Galvatron

I hope we do get more than two 'Weaponizer'. They seem like they're pretty damn cool/fun for the play value alone not to mention they'd be retro-compatible (to a point) with any 5mm port-riddled figure. Hopefully we get a 'con Weaponizer in some shape or form.

I'm still hoping we eventually get a Megatron to Super Megatron figure in some line. It isn't really an evolution, it's more of an upgrade. It's still the same character (unlike Galvatron, arguably), just upgraded to something stronger, the name doesn't even change (much). I'm not holding out much hope of it happening soon, but I'd still like to see it someday. Heck, I'd be happy if the Voyager Megatron was paired with a Deluxe all original Decepticon Weaponizer that formed the Super Megatron armor (or something close to it that can still be used by other figures).
More likely are characters like Leader Star Saber and Leader Thunderwing since they have more in common with Ultra Magnus.
Maybe the potential Leader Shockwave will have an inner bot that looks like this:

I'm kidding, mostly...

You can do that of course because it would be pretty odd if they don't make a Decepticon Weaponizer.Emerje wrote:I'm still hoping we eventually get a Megatron to Super Megatron figure in some line. I'd be totally down for that. I already voted for Thunderwing in the PotP vote.Emerje wrote:More likely are characters like Leader Star Saber and Leader Thunderwing since they have more in common with Ultra Magnus.
If they stick to the old stuff and don't put gimmicks into figures that they never had before that's pretty unlikely but why the hell not?Emerje wrote:Maybe the potential Leader Shockwave will have an inner bot that looks like this:I'm kidding, mostly...

On the topic of Leader classes and using bots from the Poll, I've been wondering something since Magnus was revealed. Was this the figure that we would have gotten if Magnus had won the vote? I mean, it seems kind of odd to have included Magnus in a vote for a new POTP Leader class figure, since, if he had won, he would have been followed by a completely different Leader Magnus less than a year later. Maybe they're bringing over what would have been POTP Magnus into WFC to get some use out of the design, and potentially doing the same thing with Shockwave, if that listing was indeed for WFC.

I highly guess that this would have been PotP Magnus just with less details. In the torso of the white Prime should be enough space to integrate a Matrix gimmick. Especially as now the driver's compartment of the truck seems to have absolutely no use for transformation at all.
Same thing with TR Sky Shadows chest. It's just empty. Of course they integrated a gimmick in TR Overlord's chest but that doesn't need that much space either. So I guess PotP Evolution Thunderwing would have used that space. And maybe Star Saber.
And I still want a Leader class Armada Tidal Wave that combines with CW Armada Megatron

As Magnus doesn't have it, it's really unlikely. And if somebody should have one then it's Magnus. I mean the Masterpiece version has one, too. Now that I think about it they should have given Siege UM one

But why should Shockwave have one?

If the potential Shockwave was a reused POTP Prime vote design (like I'm speculating he and Magnus may be), then it makes sense that he would have a Matrix chamber, since the design was meant to be a Prime. Like I said, though, I find it highly unlikely.Lunatic Prime wrote:Autobot N wrote:If so, then I hope that the potential Leader Shockwave has a Matrix chamber, though I doubt it.Lunatic Prime wrote:Autobot N wrote:On the topic of Leader classes and using bots from the Poll, I've been wondering something since Magnus was revealed. Considering Chromia is heavily retooled from a PotP figure it really isn't that much of a stretch to believe these are the same PotP designs they had planned for, but then heavily modified them for use in Siege. Heck, that could be why Hound has Hot Shot's head in the art, maybe the Prime mode would have been a big armored car and Hot Shot would have been the retool?

I checked the list of toys to come on Amazon.com.au again and there seem to be a Voyager AND a Leader Megatron. So maybe we'll also get the design for PotP Megatron. I mean we also got a Voyager and Leader Optimus in Titans Return.

Yeah everyone was leaning on Jetfire belonging to the studio series (now, there's a debate better left for that thread, based on the possibility of that Jetfire combining with the already released op). One thing to consider is that they are tying themselves to a scale in siege. So we could try and use that when figuring out leader class stuff
Also, it's painful I know, but hasbro have already forgotten about that armada megatron leader figure. Best to assume that any other tidal wave we get won't combine with it

That'd be cool. But as I watched TFP I came up with the thought of "Unicron" weaponizers. Sorta like how at the end of the series, Unicron revived Megatron with a upgraded body. I think it'd be a cool use of the weaponizer gimmick. Especially if they do Unicron as a Titan instead of Omega. Might be cool to have some weaponizers that could serve as "scouts of Unicron" and just use the weaponizer gimmick to "possess" bots and cons to choose Knights of Unicron

Or they do something similar to Magnus and release a Leader class set where Megatron turns into a tank and then "armors up" to become a turret and the armor can turn him into Galvatron
Interesting, bit that feels more like POTPthan Siege, the difference being o e is evolving into a new Character, the other is the same dude in more armor. But I like where your head's at, and its why I am advocating for a Leader Tidal Wave thatcan turn into a backpack and gauntlets for a Voyager Megatron.
While this is a super cool idea, and something I would like to see myself. One thing to note is that Siege is just the first part of the Trilogy; -) meaning over all, we could get three titans out of the entire line! After omega, we could be looking at Scorpoknok which leaves us with one titan left over

Yes, WE do! But if we get a Leader TW, that pretty much nixes any chance of a Titan Class TW. Yes, I know the chance of that is slim to none as it is, but I think it would be appropriate.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I have been longing for a leader Tidal Wave. WE need the giant guy
Then again, we got a half-assed repaint of Broadside as TW, even if it was part of an exclusive set. So the whole thing might be moot.
