One of my absolute favourite phrases in hilarious online fan-boy rants is 'TRUE fan', so I thought we could come up with a test to sort the wheat from the chaff, the TRUE fans from those of us who leave the house occasionally and interact with the outside world...

Add your questions and acceptable answers like so:

Q. Do you like optimus's flames in the new movie?

A. No. they are a vulgar stain on the single greatest fictional character ever devised by mankind.

A. No. They raped my childhood.

and, partial credit for:

A. There is no new transformers movie. Just Go-Bot Bayformers.

Don't forget they don't have to be movie related!

Just to point out this thread is intended as a light hearted satirical look at the often rabid rantings of overzealous fans... so lets not get all bent out of shape if you fall into that category, k? ;;)

I'll play along though.... Its hard to answer your question... "A" seems like the obvious choice but I'm really itching to pick "A" Hmmmmm.... I'll go with all of the above.

Okay, I'll bite, eventhough I liked the movie.

A. Nobody, it was horrible.

Hehe well from what I've seen so far I think the movie is going to rock (being in Britain I haven't seen it yet. Thanks a lot to whoever the marketing genius behind that was).

I actually started this thread for anyone else who finds it comical when people get EXTREMELY worked up about what is y'know, basically a cartoon, a film and some toys...

So here's a new one:

Q. The new TF Animated series features an interesting new design direction, but you disagree with the new style. What do you do?

'REAL' FAN:

A. Threaten to dismember and burn every single member of every single animator's family. Including pets. Anonymously. Via Email.

B. Plan the nuclear destruction of Cartoon Network.

C. Threaten any other form of real, actual physical violence. Over a cartoon.

NOT a 'REAL' fan:

A. Get over it

B. Give it a chance

C. Sigh and say 'Ah well, this ones for the kids ain't it?'

As a REAL fan you dread the event that ruined transformers forever. What is that event?

A. The G1 Cartoon, comics are the only real continuity.

B. the end of G1.

C. Beast Wars

D. Beast Machines

E. Armada

F. The Movie

G. All of the above.

the non real fans answer.

the movie is successful, like it or not transformers goes on, it is not ruined.

The real G1 Continuity is.

A. The cartoon, marvel comics, dreamwave comics, and IDW comics which if you understand them all flow together without contradiction.

B. The comics, all of them, anyone who judges G1 by the cartoon is an idiot who must be corrected for his error. Anyone who reads the comics knows that without the cartoon they all flow together seamlessly.

C. The marvel comics but only if you include the UK ones.

D. The cartoon only and nothing else.

E. the cartoon but only season 1 and 2,

F. the catoon but only the first few episodes.

G. Dream wave comics only

(i have yet to hear a fan saw IDW only so I left that out)

a normal fan says "all are different and valid G1 continuities, pick what you wish"
