To get or not to get TW-01, that is the question. I own all most all versions of Megatron but when will it end. With my huge collection of him, I'm torn between getting him or not? Is he truly a must own for $100 or is it safe to pass on this sucker?

Ok then... I've seen sellers with a version that has a orange cap on it, does this cap just pop off or are there two versions of TW-01? Also what of all this wash your hands after every time you handle TW-01? I have a couple of young boys and it's not likely but if they get there hands on it or worst yet put in their mouths?

To my knowledge they all come with an orange safety cap, but it's just held on by friction and pulls right out. I pretty sure the hand washing thing is just a wacky translation thing.

This is the current state of the art for a G1 Megatron. Hasbro will never make one and if Takara ever do it may be years before it happens so this is your best shot at the big guy for some time to come.

I'm sold on him but I hope my hobby doesn't cause health issues for my boys, wife and myself. Not liking that advisory to wash hands after handling crap that's in French on back of box. Wonder what other made in china Transformers I need to worry about. smh...

Looks like it's in route, $99 MISB shipped, I guess wasn't to bad. Should be here in a week or so.

I think you made the right choice, as a collector of Megatron figures and also as a fan. This figure is quite awesome, totally lives down the G1-esque vibe that Classics couldn't.

Also, to reiterate earlier comments, the orange cap is fastened onto the barrel for all boxed figures. However, it is held on by friction and easily pops off, so don't worry about damaging your figure or having to do any zany modding.

I'd totally buy this mold upsiized 15% as a Masterpiece stand-in until HasTak (or someone else) cooks up one that scales well with MP-10. The more I play with it the more I like it.
