Wait, in or out of shell?

Bludgeon no shell would get his ass kicked in 5 seconds, but in shell, Magnus would be sliced like sushi.

i think it would be pretty brutal but i think magnus is apretty tough charector that does not get enuff credit he has gone toe to toe with galvatron a couple of times in the cartoon and in the comics i always figured that he was at least as tough as grimlock and shockwave but not as powerful as prime and megatron/galvatron

Without the Junkions, he wouldn't have survived his first encounter with Galvatron. Plus, in Headmasters he was shot down by Decepticons and died. So, Magnus is done for against a trained Samurai.

thats very true but we need toremember that it was sixshot that took him out in headmasters and he was the decepticon ninja cunsultant you gotta be one mean son of a bitch to have that as your job title and magnus was blown away by not just galvatron but scourge cyclonus and a couple of sweeps thats not a bad way to go out while i agree that bludgeon is a baddasss con that could take out just about any one i think that magnus is stronger just as smart if not smarter knows how to improvise which is seen in all his cartoon comic and movie apperances i dont see magnus trying to get in a hand to hand fight with bludgeon and if he did i see him changing his strategy while getting sliced up and making it more of a fire power war with who has the better armor and can take the most hits

Magnus wins due to big shoulder-missiles followed by super-accurate laser barrage and a lot of beefy-arm punching. Skull-faced samurai poser will be send crying back to robo-mummy.
