Soooo... tiny shell-formers made with cheap plastic...

I recently started thinking I'd like some good Sharkticons and Quintessons in my Classics collection, so hopefully iGear will get their **** together after that mini-bot fiasco, and do theirs right.

Kinda what I expected, to be honest. Still glad I got these. Will probably get iGear's take as well. Gotta wonder what the hold up is with them and .... their entire product line, actually.

I personally am not bothered by the shell-former aspect. I'm more bothered by how loose the joints are on these advanced samples. Hopefully they'll be tightened up slightly.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, though. I'm interested to see a final version of iGear's offering.

But I'm conflicted - I like iGear's robot mode better, but I like UT's alt mode better. Sigh.

I like both alt modes equally, they are both sharkticons to me, just don't like everything else about UT's version.

I was wondering how the legs transformed. Now i know. I think they look great.
Those Igear update pics......i really dislike the way the mouth looks. That upper lip looks really weird. It should be retracted more to show off more of those teeth. It's too cheeky. Those cheeks close off the mouth too much. Glad i went with UT.

Regarding those leaked 2014 Transformers toys listing we got weeks ago. Has anyone considered that the 2014 Generations voyager sized Skybyte might be using the Transformers GO G20 Sensuimaru mold.
Is G20 Sensuimaru Suspose to have a Shark or whale alt mode? i'm leaning more towards the whale mode. As the alt mode is kinda fat & does have a few blow holes on top of the alt mode.

I highly doubt we'll see those in the Generations line.

I agree. The fact that they're combiners means there isn't an easy way to repurpose them into characters American audiences would be more familiar with.

Hasbro can always release a few of the GO combiners & not reveal they are Combiners on the paper work. like they did with the ROTF Three Deluxes.

Hasbro Has the option of recoloring & Calling the Samurai GO team the Protectobots. While the Ninja GO team can get recolored & called the Predacons or Magnaboss.

Hasbro's team does not care about missing combiner team members,Wrong sizes or different alt modes.

Unless you are part of said Hasbro team, and can speak from experience, I would walk this one back a bit. Classics Devastator notwithstanding... ;)

It was a wrong mistake to have The Beast Hunters Terrorcons all be Legion size.

FOC Onslaught needed to be Voyager scale.

The Target Universe Rid & Classics devastator toys were all wrong as far as names, vehicles & missing team members went.

Movie Superion & Bruticus had too many repaints on each team. some had wrong names or vehicle modes.

Those Kreon gestalts were barely commander size.

Taking away the combiner modes for all the new sculpted or repainted combiner team members in various recent Transformers toy lines.

All your opinions (and very valid I might add) from a fan perspective. While a small consideration, Hasbro's motivation goes far beyond maintaining story continuity and fan opinions. They make money. If their decisions make them money, then to say that they made a bad decision is not valid, even if it conflicts with fan opinion.

If Hasbro decides that the Go! line will sell, we'll get them. However, I'm with Mkall here; Hasbro's past actions do not seem to indicate that we'll see these in a domestic release. Given the ties to the Transformers Anniversary, I think we'll see more recognizable molds. I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time.) I just think the reasoning here is flawed. (Not the opinion, just the reasoning.)

The 2014 year has some challenges that other years don't. There won't be that many 30th newer sculpts in 2014 due to the TF4 toys taking up the focus. So having 6 already made GO combiners voyagers that can be used to help pad out the 2014 30th line seems like a God send.

It just doesn't make much sense to spend all the money & time developing these toys then not using them. since Hasbro & Takara are partners in the TF brand. It stands to reason both companies pay for the creation process whether they decide to sell the toys or not.

I still Disagree,Hasbro can easily repurpose all Six GO combiners into iconic characters. The GO lion can become Razorclaw or LioPrime. The GO Bird can become Divebomb or Airrazor. The GO shark can become Skybye or Gnaw. The go car can become Prowl or Grove. The Go fire engine can become Hot spot. The Go jet can become one of the Aerialbots.

Hasbro doesn't need to advertise these GO toys as combiners on the paper work.

Too bad IT folded, they could have easily done another run of their Quints with allthe Sharkticons coming out.

Glad I have all of those figures. Gonna make me a nice little Quintesson display.

Wow, for the money, I hope they fix some of those molding/fit issues.

Also, some of those pics remind me of someone. Now just who....

These make me sad, and are exactly the reason I have not committed $$$ just yet.

Would like to see a follow up review to peaugh's that confirms or denies molding issues, etc.

I didn't realize till todays pics that these were almost deluxe scale. $30 for each deluxe is a steal of a price. it's more than half the price of FP's prices for the Headmasters toys. I like the different faces with different colors. it makes these better than the any troop builders TFCC has done.

These are actually more between Scout & Deluxe size - it doesn't get much smaller than Classics BB, but these guys seemed to have managed it.

Classics Starscream is smaller than Classics BB. The unique mould Decepticons in the classics lines tend to be smaller than the Auobots.
