No CS Primes yet? Damnation!
Is this something that is likely to happen or are we just chasing wild geese?
Bizarrely, thats exactly what i WAS doing over the weekend in some kind of bizarre 'Hot Fuzz'-esque moment in Glossup.
Weird.

Is it just me or is this site playing up again? I can't access my Private Messages - as clicking on them just refreshes the list.
Bloody technology
I didn't manage to check out TRU as I'm frantically trying to get a figure painted for a Games Workshop competition in Epsom next Saturday.

What were you doing chasing geese in Glossup, you mad caddy?
Oh, I think at the moment it may be wishful thinking, but I've been wrong about TRU before.

O, Lord, Meadowhell. I had quite forgotten. Weren't they building something next to it? Last rumour I heard was it was going to be a casino.

Its land that used to be a sewage works, and this being Sheffield, its now planned for 'economy' housing.
Think the casino sensibly went to Manchester.

Economy housing, eh? Council houses? Are they finally giving shelter to some of the homeless? Or are the chavs going to movie in to be closer to home?

I think the whole CS prime thing is just a rumor, i checked out the board where this was posted and it seems to me that the TRU the guy visited might just have had some backstock hidden in their store rooms which they forgot to put up before.
by his account there was only 1 CS Prime 1 powermaster Prime and some reissues of red alert, astrotrain etc. if the store was to get more reissues then there would definately be more than 1 on the shelves. the information doesn't sound right to me as there has been No Evidence of anyone other than him finding CS prime, no pics, no receipts, no one on any site i've visited has found prime, so i am very skeptical.

Even the Americans only had the Astrotrain reissue online.

Yup, we did get CS Prime.
I recall seeing my local TRU with the following:
CS PM Prime with Apex Armour
CS Optimus Prime
CS Ultra Magnus
CS Rodimus Prime
CS Jazz
CS Starscream
Then after these stopped nowt until the current wave of releases. I have definitely not seen Astrotrain after from the TFC release in Forbidden Planet and other specialist comic stores.

I never saw CS Magnus or PM Prime myself but heard of other Brits obtaining them. Seen all the others you list and nothing extra.

I say the rumour is just a rumour. Probably bollocks.
As for Astrotrain - look no further!

He'll sell it for a very good price and I recommend using him. The stickers won't have been applied either.

Of the innitial run or reissues, the only ones I saw were in specialist shops like Forbidden Planet and a random comic shop in Hull that is now a sweetie shop...
The comic shop was where I got PM Prime, my first ever Prime (and still one of my favs, far more interesting that origanal Prime).

My mates had to drag me away for dinner.

I saw a G1 Prime, Magnus and Starscream in FP Newcastle a few years back. Was going to get Starscream (I wasn't collecting then so I was deciding about it for ages). When I went back, he was typically gone. Never saw any more since. They were in at different times and they were about £20 each. And there has been at least 1 instance of Classics Astrotrain appearing on our shores. Just before Christmas, I found one sitting in the same FP (£12.99). Needless to say, I nabbed it. And I did make a thread about it, but no one seemed to notice. This was back when classics were only just beggining to appear in Europe. Interestingly enough, it wasn't that funny european packaging the classics in Woolies have, it was the proper stuff. So I guess it was an inport, and hence, the slightly increased price (as well as it being FP).

If TrU dont have him, I keep seeing him at woolies.
Id seriously recomend getting the Japanese version if at all posible (I know that wont be easy). His paint aps are so much better (espceilly the face).
Anyway, I went to Teeside today. Saw Hot Fuzz (very good film) and bought some tfs.
Went to Argos. They *FINALLY* had Ravage. ONE Ravage. I bought him. They also had Cyb Menasor on the reduced to clear shelves, they had at least two of him, one of which I bought. It was only £12.48, so if you want him, and live anywhere near Teeside park, I recomend you get there post haste (I wasnt the only person showing interest in em). Sadly STILL no sign of the Titianiums... Didnt go to TrU, cos I like having some money left in my account.
I work on teeside park - weird coincidence.
Guess where and win a cookie
Argos are dead friendly there for getting tfs - i never liked the idea of doing product viewings but they suggested it for me and helped me get the ones i wanted out of their assortments and really didnt make me fee daft about doing it.
TrU has loads of jetfires and ultimate battle packs, but only 2 deluxes (skywarp and unicron) and **** loads of micromasters and legends - tho mostly Autobot Fireflight which is guaranteed to be keeping pegs warm for many months. Or do i underestimate the nostalgic pulling power of a badly recoloured mold with no real alt mold resemblance of a name associated with Superions left leg?
