So I manage to avoid the usual complaint about the figure breaking, and it breaks in an entirely different way. :-x

Le bugger.

That reminds me once, of when I got myself a mind unopened G2 Predator. I opened it (naturally). Transformed it a few times (naturally). Broke the bloody gun peg.... It has been consined to sitting in my dad's office ever since waiting for him to remember to try and replace the peg with a little bit of metal (an operation he carried out millions of times in my childhood on the couplings of the Erlt Thomas the Tank Engine toys).

Hi all! :D

I picked up Classics Grimlock, Cliffjumper and Ramjet in FPi in Aberdeen today. They'd just got their delivery in. They also had Mirage as well but I've already got him. They were cheaper than when they got wave one in as they were only £11.99 each.

I was also in Woolworths and they've got a 25% off sale on all TF's except SWTF's.

Yup. It's just annoying as the only other Transformer that has broken on me in recent years was Spychanger Sideswipe, who suffered a broken gun peg. So at least in that case it didn't wreck the vehicle mode.

Same thing happened on my Stalker, but the gun peg snapped in the hole and now i cant get it out so he can only hold 1 gun at a time...

Hi Guys,

Was in Tesco yesterday and SWTF's are only £3 odd,
Not that keen on the line but picked up a couple for my sons' Easter presents.

Cheers,

I've never had the RiD Spychangers have their guns snap on me. But they are oddly getting some paintwear

They *should* last on you if you dont play with them, but the G2 gobots were bought to be played with, and damnit they were played with. Which has the downside that every single one I have has chips, paintscratches or entire peices missing. Also I think that the Spychangers that were designed for RiD (the second wave of em) had better designed guns with shorter profiles that made it harder to break the pegs.

As with the Throttlebots, I like my Spychangers. It must be the Geewunner in me that loves all these poorly articulated tfs.

Anyway, yeah the gun pegs on Predators are notoriously weak and prone to snapping. One easy fix is to make the fist holes slightly larger by scraping out a bit of plastic with a screwdriver which can just fit into it. Only a tiny bit needs to be done to make it a loose enough fit so the gun won't snap but not too loose, so it flops around.

In my case, the gun peg snaped off when I put it in the whole on the uderside so he could carry the gun in alt mode... D'oh! (It was the stelth bomber btw, whatever he's called.)

The same thing works for that too. I slight ajustment making the hole a tiny bit bigger will prevent any snapping. If anything the hole you're talking about is even tighter then the fist hole, and more likely to cause the gun to snap IIRC. It really is a very simple thing to do and doesn't make any noticible difference to the figures appearance, but can make the difference between a snapping the gun handle or not. Only the smallest adjustment is needed, so anyone trying it shouldn't be too heavy handed.

OK... Classics Prime is nice and all (no he really is), but I wouldnt say he's THAT good. Fort a start I cant help but think they could have avoided the arm kibble...

Also, I suspect that MP megs would sturggle to be a disapointment compaired to anything, so I already know Im getting something better than Classics Prime...

He goes by the name 'timban' on this forum. I think it was JFUK who mentioned him first (on this very thread). Dunno if he'll have anymore to spare, but you can always PM him to find out. He's done business with quite a few disgruntled brits, and I've heard only good things.

Arm kibble aside (yeah, it'd be nice if it clipped on and stayed in place), I can't find anything I don't like about him. The proportions, the transformation, the details, and the build quality are all the best I've ever seen.
I actually like Classics:OP more than 20thAnOP.

MP Megs, tragically, has sacrificed the robot mode for a decent looking gun mode. I honestly can't abide those skinny legs, and the arms look like they shouldn't be able to hold the fusion cannon. Appreciably, the G1 version didn't look anywhere near as good in robot mode, but I think they could have done a lot better without trying to make him a super-accurate, albeit oversized, gun.

I have to disagree about MP Megs, I think that the figure (from the test shots at least) looks very well proportioned considering what the designers had to work with. I'm also very grateful that this version of Megatron doesn't have a trigger crotch!

MP Megs aside - I can vouch for Timban. I have done loads of trades with the chap and seen his TF Shrine. The lucky beggar has an entire study packed with figures!

I've also had a few unusual new TF additions. My friend found those Attacktix (sp?) in Tescos and we spent a good part of last night aiming the launchers at each other!

i got the optimus prime vs megatron 2 pack from tesco the other day......am giving some thought to taking out/ disabling the spring functions in them.....prime is too floppy and megatrons "blade" is a bit annoying, however, i find that they are fairly good, poseability wise.

also picked up 2 of the starwars transformers, darth vader - decent

and jango fett - good alt mode, hate the robot mode. will not be getting any more of them.
