unlikely!
how likely is it for bb to see a 2009 concept camaro, painted yellow AND with black stripes? the first draft he sees a billboard of a camaro with a diff. colour and scans that, besides, couldnt he just look through the "world wide web" and find an updated model on google image search? god, it was so freakin unlikely and there were 503 other freaking ideas that wouldve been more likely! f*ck! F*************K!

In the book it said he copied the model but kept his colors.
Life can be pretty sweet when your alt-mode is a B-2 Stealth Bomber.

true not very likley, but then again this flic is about 30ft tall robots who like to get their fight on. So the idea that bb saw an 09 camamro dosen't seem so unrealistic.

But living, talking sentient transforming robots are 30x more realistic than 09 Camaro roaming the streets in 2007!

2009?? I thought BB was a 2008?

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

We are talking about movie Bumblebee. A lot of fans have mistakenly called his car mode a 2008 Concept, when it is, in fact, a 2009 Concept built from a GTO body. It isn't a production model, and won't be until the 2009 model year. That is why it's called a 2009 Concept Camaro, rather than simply a 2009 Camaro. The main article you linked to also refers to Bumblebee as a 2009 Concept Camaro, and that is from a professional reporter on a professional news site. All of the other links are from fans. That is where the confusion lies.

Then someone needs to educate a lot of people..

He has been referred to a 08 concept for months now..
C'est la vie.

It's actually very possible to see a preproduction car cruising around the streets. Like to get a real world feel for it. There are some things you just can't simulate very well in test tracks and such. The new (preproduction of course)Camaro is currently bounding around parts of Australia doing some of this very same testing. It's been spied by a few automotive spycams. People in Ohio and Michigan may be familiar with this. I saw a preproduction Solistice and a preproduction Caddy STS a full year before release. They give them to higher ups, like plant managers, to test drive and evaluate. And even to park in their driveway, as it's good free publicity.
Another is to gauge public reaction to a vehicle. Sometimes you'll see a really sharp car, with no manufacturer identitifiers on it, but people will stop and say "hey, great car, what is it!?". It's kind of a free focus group/public reaction.
A lot of times, you'll see cars in camo instead of just being there for everyone to see. They'll hide certain body lines and things.
Like this:

As far as the colors, the new Camaro is inspired by the 1st Gen Camaro, particularly 68-69's. And many of those had racing strips and such. The convertible Camaro concept, was actually painted to match a popular model sold that had black stripes and red sidewall tires.

Slap some yellow on him and it looks mighty close to BB. The rest of the explanation is just your own suspension of disbelief, aka you'll accept it because you want to, like chosing to watch a movie about 30 foot tall robots doing battle on Earth.
