For me :

Optimus Prime - The Leader, of course. I think of him as the Hero, and the one who shows the way for all the Autobots.

Ironhide - The big tough guy of the group. He seems like the trainer, the one who shows how a true Autobot fights.

Ratchet - The old grandpa, as I said in the other thread. He acts and has, a lot of experience in his older battles.

Bumblebee - The guardian for all of human kind. He is a good friend that will do anything for others.

Jazz - The punk of the group. The cool of the group. Jazz is like the chill of the group...

To me:

Prime represents a kind of All-American Hero, I mean look at his colour scheme. He's on top of what it means to be a hero, knows the code.

Bumblebee no longer represents a warrior, but a nevertheless young soldier who just happened to get thrown into the bigger story of the war, and has adjusted well. Though at times, the situation does get on top of him (Threatning to fire on the humans in the Dam).

Jazz is cool headed, a voice of argument for Prime just to make sure Prime has his plans right in his own head. He's got to be second in command for a reason. He just wasn't around long enough for us to see that reason.

Ratchet, the grandpa medic. He's seen a few, and recognises his place as both a warrior and medic. Safety first, if Prime's plans seem risky, he wont hesitate to point it out.

Ironhide is the older member of the group, obviously. He's seen probably even more than Prime. With all his experience, he likes to use every opportunity to kick back and have a laugh. He's deserved it and he knows it. I would suspect him being also a trainer for others. I believe he trained Arcee in fact.

Well, to me, Optimus Prime is like a master of military strategy. Sure, cold as he might be when he decided not to rescue Bumblebee, to have Bumblebee sacrificing his life/spark and not waste any time in order to get the AllSpark as soon as possible. Though I do not get his paint job...

Bumblebee, the guardian of Sam. Firstly, Bee-otch? What's up with that? And I think he could be a little bit more attach to Optimus as the G1 Bumblebee did. The G1 Bee-otch... I mean Bumblebee tends to think Optimus as the greatest Autobot to have ever live (much more than any other Autobot does). He is innocent, and petite... I mean, Jazz is smaller than him in the 2007 movie! Bumblebee is supposed to be the small one! Anyway, other than that, Bumblebee is... reasonably similar enough to the G1 Bumblebee, and his music totally rocks.

Jazz. The cool dude. The wild cat. Jazz is one of my favorite... oh, who am I kidding? Jazz is my favorite Autobot in Transformers (2007). Too bad about one thing, OPTIMUS PRIME IS TOTALLY COLD TOWARDS HIS DEATH! "AW JAZZ"?! Ahem. I think it is nice he is the lieutenant, and takes care of his comrades more than Optimus does. It is definitely better than his "Saboteur" rank in G1. Jazz, the cool kitty.

Ironhide. There are tough Autobots, there are brave ones, and then there are tough, brave Autobots without a mind of a donkey. Ironhide is one of these. The weapon specialist definitely has some cool cannons. Heck, I think his cannon could match up against Starscream's missles.

Yeah, Ironhide is definitely cool. He is the alternative of Kup, or Kup being the alternative of him... whatever. Though I did not hear much of his war stories in the movie, but I guess that is acceptable. I mean, could you imagine Ironhide beginning to tell Spike about how he and Starscream trying to fight it out in the antarctic while he is escorting a fellow greenhorn?

Now, am I forgetting anyone?

Oh yes, phenomenon-man, Ratchet. Being the medic, he is supposed to be the "weak" one, since most medical officers are killed in the movie. But Ratchet ain't too bad, I guess (not as bad as Jazz-torn-helot). Though there is one thing I want to point out. When I first saw Ratchet in the movie, he reminds me of a war hero than Ironhide does. Why? His face. I mean, he looked like old man Jenkins from Spongebob! Maybe you need to be old to be a medic or something. *shrugs* Ratchet, the phenomenon medic.

He tried to help the humans but they thought he was the enemy so he has a right to defend himself

As for me,

Optimus Prime. A fatherly figure trying to take care his men, as well as a military commando planning all kinds of strategy for things the Autobots have to face. He also represents a wise man, a sage of old, a hero for all of eternity because he always said something good.
Personality: Choleric.
Animality: Monkey.

Ironhide. Hmmm, it's easy for me to judge that he is a guy who has all the guts to take on the enemy in rough and wild manners. But, he is also a good warrior, as he seems to do all of his missions well. He will kick anyone's ass right in the face.
Personality: Choleric.
Animality: Rhino.

Bumblebee. A loyal companion, a funny friend, a good lover, and the best bodyguard for anything he has to protect. I see him as a soldier good enough to reach the upper ranks, maturing as a veteran soldier on the fields of battle.
Personality: Melancholic.
Animality: Bee.

Ratchet. I don't know much about him, but I think he represents a nice medical officer, a clumsy guy, and always trying to do the best for protecting other's lives. As one of the warriors, I see him as a good partner, providing a good backup for Ironhide.
Personality: Phlegmatic.
Animality: Horse.

Jazz. A brave, smart, and talkative guy, doing everything with style, even if it costs his life. I think he much like a Japanese samurai warrior. But above all, he is a good companion, always trying to take care of his partners.
Personality: Sanquinic.
Animality: Rat.
